I've recently been working on militarizing a lot of the beamNG vehicles, so I got to the D-series to check if there's any space to improve and oh boy... -White text on tires -Manual gearbox -The short frame is based off of a Ford Bronco -License plates -Civilian interior -Two door -Livery taken from an M1 Abrams Listen, I get it, It's fictional, beamNG devs aren't military nuts, but the Marauder feels like someone just glanced once at a 140p photo of a humvee off of Google, didn't bother to do any research, went hog on a randomly picked D-series preset, and called it a day... To give the developers justice, the Stambecco has more than redeemed itself in the mil-spec category, but the L-TRV NEEDS a revamp.
That's because it's not supposed to be a Humvee, it's supposed to be the D-series equivalent of a CUCV. The D-Series styling puts it slightly between being a CUCV and a CUCV II and it's probably missing some additional equipment the actual CUCV would have. It's reasonably good enough but I'd say the config definitely has some tinkering potential.
Yeah, now that I looked the CUCV up you're right. As far as I was aware the MIL-COTS program didn't go anywhere beyond military police, so thanks for bringing that thing to my knowledge.
