I just updated to the expiremental version with steam and now it's so laggy. EVEN WITH EVERYTHING ON ITS LOWEST POINT. Can I fix it or do I just have a toaster?

Depends. BeamNG does require a decently powerful modern PC to run well because of all the physics calculations. Here are the http://wiki.beamng.com/Requirements. Also note that the experimental builds are usually more unstable than the full releases and can sometimes cause framerate issues.

Did you reset the settings after the update? When mine it erases my settings.

After the update I put all the settings to their lowest. The lag is the worst whenever I bring out the T-Series.

The T-75 is the laggiest vehicle in the game. It's because it's a huge vehicle and that means it also has a complex jBeam. 10 wheels don't help either.

Please be sure to also disable EVERYTHING that has 'enable' ticked within the PostFX dialog as these do not follow the guideline from the main 'enable' checkbox.

Do this in EVERY tab, also if you are still having issues with it, disabling shadows may also help you.
*To do this you click the button in the top right corner of BeamNG and click on the 'Render' section then click on the 'Disable Shadows' toggle.
(*this will have to be done upon each map load)

That's the CPU doing that to you. Feel free to up your graphics settings (as high as they go if at 1080p, the 280x shouldn't complain), lowering them won't help much except to make the game look like garbage.
