    Some maps don't load under Vulkan and the game freezes permanently during the loading screen for the map. Not sure why. I tried doing the Fairhaven map under Vulkan and it froze after the loading screen reached the end and said "Vehicles done loading".

    Please report issues only from BeamNG 0.35 from now on :)
    There are some optimizations and fixes for Vulkan in this update, but nothing major.

    0.35 was giving me alot of very bad graphical glitches with my amd gpu in vulkan and i prepared myself to report that today. but it seems that 0.35.1 fixed it already :)

    Big news for Frozen Loading Screen Users!
    BeamNG Version 0.35 Vulkan renderer is FINALLY able to load up the game without crashing or freezing in the loading screen!

    Specs recap:
    NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU
    11th Gen Intel Core i7 - 11800H (2.3GHz)
    16GB of RAM

    • 0.31 on WCUSA ULTRA: 16 FPS AVG
    I was also getting GPU, CPU and Game Engine Bottleneck
    • 0.32 on WCUSA ULTRA: 30 FPS AVG
    Now only GPU bottleneck occurs
    • 0.33 on WCUSA ULTRA: Game gets stuck in loading screen
    • 0.34 same thing as in 0.33
    • 0.35 on WCUSA ULTRA: 4FPS AVG
    Wohoo! Finally able to at least load into the game...

    It's still pretty bad and not a playable experience compared to what Direct3D provides with the same setup.
    What really grinds my gears is the fact that performance started out decently well and seemed like it was progressing since 0.31 until 0.33 came and broke it all... which makes no sense to me at all. Now it seems like it's slowly getting a bit better but it's still not a replacement for Direct3D :(

    EDIT: I just realised that the game is not even using HALF of the GPU? :confused::confused:

    There's your issue. Vulkan on Ultra needs 8GB VRAM minimum.

    You are running out of vram in your screenshots. To run the game on ultra settings and vulkan you need 10gb gpu at least. I recommend setting low textures and normal shadows quality to avoid this issue. We want to fix those problems soon

    Yeah I figured the same thing was happening as in previous times with such high RAM usage and low GPU. Even with very low settings it can barely reach 60FPS unlike Direct3D which gets to 40 on ULTRA using 100% of GPU and then I'm able to squeeze some extra frames by changing some settings here and there and get to a total of 60.

    I'll keep updating you every time and I wish you the best of luck with everything :p

    Since last month, when launching with Vulkan, I've been experiencing visual corruption like this in multiple places. Is this a Vulkan issue or is there a problem with my GPU?

    Please try to update or revert drivers, there was an issue like that with certain NVIDIA driver versions

    hi im on arch linux (cacyos) and i just download 2.5G "SHADER PRE-CACHING UPDATE" every time i open the game? and why i download CACHING with UPDATE??? i wrote game engine with vulkan and i dont make anythink like this...

    The issue you’ve noticed:

    Freeroam -> hirochi raceway - eg drag strip
    Crashes just after half loading into map, it seems to work somewhat but the display doesn't update

    This happens when:
    load into Freeroam -> hirochi raceway - eg drag strip with vulkan

    My specs are:
    AMD 5800X
    B550i aorus
    AMD 9070XT 16GB (25.3.2 Driver) (fresh install)
    Windows 10 Pro
    32GB RAM
    Vulkan Mode (Safe mode + extra debug data)
    v0.35.3 beamng

    if you need more info just ask, only happened after big update 0.35

    While Vulkan on 0.34 was working flawlessly, I can't say the same in 0.35... I have lots of flashing visual glitches that make the game unplayable.
    The issue is always there, but is more apparent when there's a generally high load on the system (traffic for example).
    I've made this video, be mindful that it contains FLASHING LIGHTS:

    I cant start up the vulkan renderer at all with the 0.35 update it gives me this when i try to "there is no valid rendering device available" I have a 9070xt with up to date drivers and a 9800x3d. also windows is updated and I've verified my game files already.

    Just FYI since i rapidly had these changes to my hardware:

    Ran for years:

    Intel i5 2500
    8gb RAM
    1050Ti

    Vulkan on Low 30fps
    Vulkan any higher wouldnt load 99% of the time due to my hardware and what gfx combo i did

    Then:

    Intel i5 2500
    8gb RAM
    1070Ti

    Vulkan on Low 80 fps
    Vulkan on High 30 fps

    A week later

    Intel i7 6700
    32gb RAM
    1070Ti

    Vulkan all High ~70-80 fps

    Please start the game with -gfx vk debug launch argument and attach the log here.

    It's a known issue for AMD gpus.

    Vulkan finally works great on my 3060ti:oops: so happy! loving the extra performance everyone's been talking about

    I'm glad my macbook from 2019 can run any game better than the latest 6000$ macbooks lol

    Just same thing on my GTX 1660s, but much more flashing and it looks like polygons stretching for a millisecond in some frames. In career mode game actually unplayable, due much traffic loads up PC, frame rate lowers and graphic bugs appear MORE often

    This is exactly what I was experiencing on my laptop a while back (I don't use it anymore), which has a GTX 1650. I still see this happen on my desktop, but way less often. It definitely seems to happen more frequently as your FPS goes down though.

    I have a weak CPU (core i3 9100), so Vulkan render mode is the only way to play career mode. Sadly, I can't do it again because of bugs. Looks like I'll have to upgrade my CPU
