Makes total sense. I for one do like the heavier when slow due to reality but it needs headroom for higher speeds. On the mod note: Ive managed to get some rudimentary scaling going so that now when the car accelerates (negative g forces) the force feedback/steering is weaker and when it decelerates it gets stronger. Should help find limits of grip when road racing. It brings way more detail and immersiveness to the ffb but things like drifting gets less predictable since theres more going on than the previous almost unfilitered side g-force forces in v1 of my mod.
I am trying this https://www.beamng.com/threads/tire-gorilla-realistic-friction-overhaul-version-11-base.94649/ grip mod and I think there is good synergy between it and your FFB mod.
You mean your wheel fbb calibration file? My mod doesnt effect that but it should be better to use it nonetheless
recommended this to a friend and he went crazy lmao, he absolutely loved this, completely changed his experience tbh
Makes me very happy to hear! Trying to get a deeper understanding of this so that i can more effficiently make what im thinking could be a nice FFB experience but so far im not happy enough to release a new version.
what wheel bases are the lot of you running? ive got my settings pretty dialed other than that horrid shudder near full lock - using a fanatec CSL DD pro. will report back later.
I havent updated this for 0.35, will look into if its needed. Mainly because of the manu change for the max value of side forces. Im using a logitech g920 i think, cant remember atm.
Moza R9 --- Post updated --- I might interested in experimenting with FFB modification and testing ideas myself, if you could let me have a sort of mini crash course in how it all works and how you mod it. {QUOTE="BravoNovemberZulu, post: 1833944, member: 437304"]Moza R9[/QUOTE]
i dont know what it was but just adding the files i noticed i had more acute and heavy ffb when i needed it, havent tested the main car that has the worse wheel shudder near lock no matter how well its setup but did notice with everything else ive driven so far no shudder what so ever near lock.. so i have hope haha. wheelbase is a fanatec csl dd pro (gran turismo version w/o GT wheel) @ 6nm linear instead of peak 8nm just for reference
