    First off, thanks for the ongoing hard work - career mode has been quite a lot of fun and uncannily addictive for a while now.

    Now on to the complaining. I'm still getting at least two (possibly related) issues preventing certain deliveries from being completed:

    1. When delivering materials and parcels to the same drop-off zone, we need to unload our full load of materials before we can drop off any parcels, since the "Dropping off..." dialogue will be in the way (see attached screenshots). We can't seem to dismiss/skip that pesky material drop-off dialogue. This is particularly awkward with facilities that take only a limited amount of a certain resource, forcing us to dump any remaining material if we want to complete the parcel delivery without taking a detour to some other facility that takes our remaining load. Also happens with trailers instead of parcels.

    2. Speaking of trailers: It seems that usually when delivering a parcel and trailer to the same drop-off zone, dropping off the parcel will also de-spawn the trailer without completing the respective trailer mission, forcing us to abandon.

    By and large, carrying a lot of mixed cargo in/and/or trailers to the same destination still makes me a bit nervous in career mode, since wonky things are bound to happen eventually. Those two above are really the ones I can consistently reproduce, though, and have been around for a while.

    Tried loading my save from the previous version and it worked, but my specialized XP reset and when I earn more, it doesn't show in the pause menu. I was level 2 in special when the screenshot was taken, but it only shows during the mission results. Is it just visual or will it cause problems if I keep playing?

    In safe mode, when doing at least this first race in career with AI, even when you change zero settings, and use the given car, you aren't given any of the main objectives and they aren't even mentioned on the finish screen. Not sure whether this affects any other races or challenges, thank you! Otherwise the changes in career have been amazing. Not sure if this is due to the PI system, and is temporary, though lol.

    i've had the same issue on most of the AI races in career mode (most because i haven't tried all of them :p) but all of the beginning ones don't give any main stars and the intermediate races

    EDIT: using the given car gives me random opponents in different cars but using my own car gives me the normal opponent vehicles? in the first race while using the covet my opponent was a miramar, while using my own vehicle the two opponents were in the standard covets

    In previous updates the career path or some other tab mentioned that in the future we would be able to build a taxi business. Was this idea scraped?

    No food for me and my family this month. Bossmeng said i need to pay up for this! Even tho its not my fault some self driving car side swiped me while i was standing on the curb delivering a parcel. Fuck self driving cars!! :mad:

    No for real, i think something is odd with the bounding box check in 0.35. I just stopped for a delivery, next i hear is a car loose its mirror driving against my frame, then a box truck completly side swiping me. both continue to drive as if nothing happend

    Hey everyone, apologies for the quiet spell—what a wild ride that release was! Career Mode’s launch this cycle was a bit of a rollercoaster (in the best way), and we’ve been having a blast chasing down bugs with the hotfixes. Things are shaping up nicely now, so let’s dive back in and keep the momentum going—plenty more awesomeness to come!

    I'll dive into the various questions one by one here:

    Thanks for putting these together, talk about walking down memory lane!

    This should have been address in one of the recent hot fixes, I've just verified on my end that it's no longer an issue, thanks for the report! :)

    The entire delivery system hasn't receive any notable attention this past release, but that's hopefully changing for this next release. At the moment the gameplay is still very rough around the edges and the polish and feature-wrap-up is still to come.

    This is because the "specialized" branch has been removed. Now instead of just four branches of gameplay, there are different Career Paths.
    APM: Apex Performance Metrics - you're hired as a test driver and tasked with carrying out various vehicular tests, paid by the in-game manufacturers.
    BMRA: Belasco Motorsports Racing Association - basically "track day" style events, head to the race track or supporting facilities and engage in your standard motorsports fare.
    Logistics: The previous "Commecial" branch now turned into it's own Career Path
    Freestyle: A sort of "catch-all" for all other vanilla gameplay atm as things move around, but the name says it all, "some of this, some of that."

    Haha, yeah it's not the most competitive performer ;)

    This was hopefully addressed in the recent hotfixes, it was an issue we didn't catch in time, the systems are still under heavy development, apologies for this!

    This functionality for Career Mode has been shelved for now, however the new Career Paths structure will allow for easier implementation in the future. If any modders wanted to add their own, there's never been a better time or easier way to get it going!

    There have been no changes that I'm aware of, but different traffic behaviours and different locations (based on where you stop and their route planning) can lead to things like this happening. Sadly I see it happening almost as often in real life as I have it happen to me in game, but it's not necessarily our intention to replicate so closely haha. Thanks for the report, sorry for the randomly unskilled driver ;)

    Maybe you guys could have larger drop-off zones across multiple parking spaces, instead of the 1 parking space, to combat this problem and add a little realism.

    I certainly want to improve this. The initial and current goal is still to get proper drop-off parking spots and bonus points for proper/clean parking. For instance, "reverse the trailer into the parking spot" style gameplay vs "just be kind of on it." The current implementation was a first pass at just getting enough in to be able to move forward and continue developing other areas. I can't wait for the delivery gameplay to feel engaging and rewarding!

    I see now that this issue has been fixed and I'm very pleased, I'd just like to ask @krallopian if we will eventually be able to change the "nicename" inside the game instead of having to do it in the career car config files (like the old colour system) I really wanna own more than one car of the same car and be able to easily distinguish between them without having to look at the thumbnails or loading both cars in.

    I'll see what I can do about this! Great idea, the quick solve for this was with using the custom pictures that get taken each time you modify one, but if you wanted a fleet of all of the same vehicles, it could get tricky for sure.

    Also, the custom thumbnails that get taken in career mode in the garages can kind of look bad so I was wondering if there was a way to have the showroom map (or something like it) underneath the West Coast USA so that when you take a new thumbnail photo your car can teleport down there to take it while still being inside of career, or maybe just have a button that loads into the showroom map and takes photos of all of your career mode cars in one save and then goes back to west coast? I assume trying to do something like this may be hard to implement, just throwing around ideas I guess.

    Am I the only one who thinks that being able to access missions just by clicking on the menu without actually driving to them kind of ruins the immersion..? It feels wrong to just be able to play the mission without even getting out of the garage. This was better in the previous version in my opinion, but let me know what you think

    Btw now that I've seen this has been mentioned before, the AI races still give you a random opponent instead of the default car as of the latest version. Not sure if James you were actually referring to a future hotfix not yet released but still I think it was worth mentioning

    This feature of teleporting to a new location for the garage or pictures was floating a lot. I still want to get the proper "show room" built properly for this occasion. There are still plans for this, and for now the feature was built well enough to take a picture and save it, and we've moved on to getting other things working, but I'm not calling this feature complete at all yet so don't worry, more to come on this front! :)

    Regarding the immersion break, that's a result of many back end systems changing and this just not being properly implemented in time to match the game release schedule. Career Mode has many moving parts, and we aren't releasing based on when Career is ready unfortunately, so sometimes things like this sneak through.

    The APM challenges are designed to only be available from the APM computer - but this computer doesn't exist yet, so they're accessible from the Career Paths page(s) for now as a hold over. The BMRA or any other challenges are supposed to require you to drive to the location to initiate them, but the AI races at the moment weren't changed over to that format, so there's issues there that unfortunately didn't make the round of hot fixes.

    The other issue with clicking on the challenge and loading into the bigmap without any waypoint is also a broken mechanic at the moment - this was working at one point, but the filters section of the bigmap area was changed over and broke this function as a result.

    Sorry for these issues, I know it seems trivial but the developer working on them is juggling many moving parts at once and there is only so much time in the day. Thanks for sticking through and thanks for highlighting your findings, they'll be taken care of! :)
