Regarding the naming of the truck, I don't think the T-Series name fits with this truck, as the design of the T-Series is based on an International 9300, which in modern day is more similar to the International 9900i / International HX. A better name would be something like the L-Series, or LS-Series.
But then that would be implying it's a fully new model made from scratch. In comment 27 you said that dimensioning and texturing was done by you, as in implying SCS still had involment with the model (but not you). Just because the model doesn't match the original, it doesn't mean that heavily modified one didn't come from said original, which was still modelled by them. Also the video still features footage of International's truck crashing and getting damaged. Damage models on real cars in games have been pretty muted since that would give off a bad PR. I'm not going to make any assumptions, but SCS's truck simulators don't even feature a visual damage model, only an UI telling in percentage of the damage, along with the engine briefly turning off if it's damaged enough. So go figure. I apologize if this comes off as dissupportive and I'm no expert in anything related to copyright, but that's rather dismissive of SCS's work. Even despite all of that, I do think I will still be enjoying the mod once it releases.
Man, it looks good. But can you ask H.S.P digital if it will eventually be free. I saw his teaser on it and can't get over it. But... I can't really spend money right now.
What about Longrunner cause is sounds like lone star --- Post updated --- I wonder also how will he get around russia sections cause of Ukraine war? like will a creditcard from the usa still work in Russia --- Post updated --- varision based on pro star would be nice and called it prorunner
Bluebird have been carrying on about it since RoR days. If International will let SCS put their trucks in a game then I can't imagine they're gonna blow up about it here
even if legally is allowed, do you not consider that so heavily using the ATS model as a reference then selling that work is morally wrong? like the model for the mod you are selling is "traced" on a model you dont have the rights to that isnt yours, its not ilegal but morally i would consider it wrong since you are indirectly profiting off of someone elses work (this isnt against you its more of just a question on what you think)
Regardless, the modeling is only a small fraction of making a mod- texturing, jbeaming, and refining is the bulk of the work and is done by H.S.P., which in itself warrants a price tag
Does it though? Or is that just the way of thinking that's been indoctrinated onto this community? What about all of the past content creators that crafted scratch made content solely for the sake of creativity/community? And NOT for an expected paycheck. Don't they technically warrant a higher "price tag" than an unknown creators work that's STILL based on a preexisting "borrowed" (without permission) model? Think about it...
if it were rebranded I would absolutely buy this its looks amazing as is but I pretty much only use lore friendly stuff I would reccomend a wentward rebadging give the t-series a good competitor --- Post updated --- honestly I have bought all of lbe's paid mods and have been decently disappointed with all of them lj's though are insane and well worth the few bucks he charges they are for the most part completely bug free upon the full release and mostly bug free in the ea release
