As the title says, the terrain hole tools aren’t working as expected for me. They seem to do what they are supposed to, but the terrain rendering doesn’t update. I must save and load the map again to see changes, this is really annoying and makes the tool nearly unusable for me.
I have the same problem, but the rendering updates when I paint with the terrain material brush. So I don't have to reload the level to see the changes. Maybe that works for you too.
I have encountered this issue since long time ago, not sure if it persists till now. I just do an extra paint and then undo it, after that the terrain would update. Hope that helps
You can apply the VOID groundmodel if the terrain does not need to be invisible. It is what it uses when you paint those areas. Just make a new terrain paint, with that groundmodel and what it paints,will allow for passing though. I find it a hassle to fix 3d models to fit those holes. And it causes performance issues when I can see the underside of the map
