Can't wait for the 0.35 release! I don't know if I'm the only one that would like this, but next to the quarry where we received the on ramp a few updates ago, it'd be awesome to get an off ramp in the opposite direction, even if it was a dirt track. Either a normal off ramp, or a cloverleaf style around the back side of it, whichever would be easiest. I attached a photo with what I'm referring too.

Ooh, point by point responses! I love this! - "It will be released for free eventually" literally means that it isn't available for free now. I'd like to specify that I in no way feel entitled to have it for free now, but "paywalled" is indeed an accurate description. - That's exactly my point. As a community member, it feels a little disrespectful to tell me something will be made available then not make it available in the promised timeframe. Just don't promise a date if you don't have a date, anything else seems like a marketing tactic. - If I have to pay for it, it's not free. I can't even believe I have to say that. Also, as someone who did indeed purchase all of TTB's individual packs as they were first released, I'm wondering what makes them so much less valuable now. Was I a sucker for buying in? What does that say about this posse's future support of their paying customers? Paid mods aren't bad. Some paid mod creators are just inconsiderate and view the BeamNG community as a personal business opportunity rather than a collective that supports each other.
Considering the amount of time and effort you got to invest learning and making mods, I don’t blame them.
I will give you that "paywall" can be a relatively accurate description, but the "paid" members are really doing the bug finding to provide a better final product. Today alone RLS has been on stream for 7 almost 8 hours (outside of his normal day job and his family mind you) to test everything and clear up any bugs that may still be remaining. Technically speaking, they are also still within the window of when he said it'd be released. You could wake up tomorrow and it's released. I understand the frustration, but at the end of the day they were/are supplying a product with no expectation of being paid by more than half of the users strictly because they see it as a benefit to the community. I partially think that's why another paid modder shared some of his content, because he sees the push that RLS has created for the game, not only on a development level, but also on a user level. If more people play the game, the more suggestions and feedback the devs get, the better the overall product. Beam itself has issues, and you paid for it right? They're both works in progress give the guy a break. All gamers hate paywalls, myself included, but at the end of the day you still get the same product, if not better, just for being patient. I don't for-see Raceless & Co. making the overhaul entirely paid unless they're bombarded with tons of negative feedback not related to the content that's actually included in the mod. Those who are impatient, yet reluctant to pay, could very well be what causes it to go paid. If you're on the way to wash the dishes, and someone interrupts you to tell you to wash the dishes, are you still going to want to do them? Or are you more likely to decide "They can do it themselves or hire a maid." I'm just trying to share a better perspective and outlook to it.
I 100% agree. I think I misunderstood, it looked to me like the mod was very quickly slipping into being fully paid, which is what my original comment was referencing. In no way am I expectant of the mod to be released on anyone's timeline, much less my own, as the creator is the one who decides that. I, cynically, thought that RLS had promised an unrealistic timeline to generate hype then stretched out the public release to garner more payment through Patreon. Regarding the actual public release of the mod, I'll reference my earlier post in the thread; Let RLS cook. In summary, I apologize, I was not aware that the update is genuinely still being bug tested.
I think that @Hf62 said it far better than I can so I'll just clear up this, I said "get it from the overhaul" I meant The Career Collection which is free you'll just have to wait until sometime past may for TTB's stuff to come out for free within the Collection so my bad ig

"I speak from experience when I say you should give me money" ;3 I'm being playful but the point is it's just flat irritating as a human to be bombarded with requests for money all the time. It's as if I'm supposed to feel bad for simply existing, like you're entitled to guilt-trip me every time I try to interact with my favorite mods as if I somehow requested anyone to work on anything, to sacrifice anything. Take your time. If modding BeamNG is causing you not to be financially or emotionally secure, do us both a favor and take a break. Sure, you'll get the standard "wen relez", but the beauty of stupid internet comments is that you can ignore them if you want. If you treat it like a hobby, I'll treat you like a hobbyist. Raceless has done nothing but work his *ss off for this game and its community. He's not using the mod itself to make money. He's obviously using the mod to channel traffic to his streams and YT to make money THERE. It's not that hard to see. He is chasing his dream, not only that it was with his wife's blessing. Being someone who's wife once told him "Do it" and went on to own a retail store store that's been voted best in the city and won multiple other awards I APPLAUD him... he's got more balls than literally millions of people... Now hurry TF up and release 0.35 LMFAO...
Now, I really don't want to come off as diagreeing with you, because I don't at heart, but let's break down what you just said: - "He's not using the mod to make money (except he's using the mod to make money)" - "He's chasing his dream" no one said anything about the validity of his cause??? - "I am personally sympathetic to him because I am in a similar situation, therefore you should feel bad for existing" - "Please visit my store I want more money" - Proceeds to ask RLS to hurry up, literally the ONE thing we've all agreed is bad Again, I respect the HELL out of RLS, and I acknowledge that this whole conversation started based on me misunderstanding something, but what the heck, dude. And I'll break down what you've been implying this entire time: "My opinion matters and its the only one that matters" I said what I said because Raceless deserves to be stood up for because being honest genuine and hard working is more respectable than wtf ever your doing is.
