@brightontousignaut You always wanna help. You seem rather savy. I am LOST with getting the doors to couple and uncouple. I've partially added the stuff by copying the Bolide door couplers and then adding the latch nodes. It's got couplers and a button, but it doesn't wanna open when you push the button.

I am not able to figure this out, so it isn't gonna be done by me, it'll have to be done by someone else or the car will never have it. I am done with this.

im sorry man, but i also want openables on my mod but i cant get it to work. kiseki which was helping me did do it on the left and right doors but they opened too far and i just didnt bother. the documentation might help? i literally dont know as im stuck with things on my mod, my schedule for things isnt great for modding. i could check in a few but rn, im tired
edit: check the console! it could be there. also for help on pbr on the textures, make the colorspace bc7_u_sRGB. it doesnt get overly bright and theres no errors in console. also, i did check the materials and just had to ask, why so many materials?? like theres something like "carbon_doorcard_r" like i know the original mod maker wasnt smart, but you couldve done a bit of cleaning. havent checked current version but i would assume the materials are still there

I've explained I just released AS SOON as the handling was fixed. The 0.35 update forced my hand and I released AS IS. The mod works. I wasn't concerned with the materials, and quite frankly I don't think others really care as long as the mod works and it gets fixed in the future.

The console is not giving an error to do with the openables. It's complaining about materials, but again, IDC right now.

To do with the doors opening too far, it might be as simple as adjusting the door opening force on the mod. I would try that. I'll see if they are willing to help.

Edit: Actually would you ask kiseki to message me or let them know I would like some help?

    Thanks!

I might change it. It's kinda a placeholder/experimental. It has the some of the tone and grunge of the IRL car, but not the exact timbre and acoustics in the high RPM range. I would need a recording of the IRL car revving slowly from 1,000RPM to redline, then slowly back down so I could pull the sound from the video. The sound is from the IRL inspired car about half in the rev range. I then pitched the recording up or down depending on the RPM. Making an off throttle sound was a pain, and they for whatever reason blend together, so it doesn't sound the best, yet.

You can unpack the current .zip
    delete the art folder
    then download the previous release
    copy the art folder
THEN copy the engine.jbeam sound and settings code and the exhaust.jbeam sound and settings code.
Paste those settings over the code in the current releases engine.jbeam and exhaust.jbeam.

BTW are you the dude who said the same thing in the Youtube comment section about a week ago?

Engine Simulator templates for this car or cars similar to it sound like crap. It is a cool concept, but at least for this car, there are no engine templates that sound even close. I am going to change the sound back to the original next hotfix update, which will be soon. More fine tuning of the suspension in the configs and better glow map textures are going to be in it. No one has helped with any of the openables, so that is not done, and might not ever be done because I cannot seem to get them to work even after reading the limited sources available.

First off, the official language in at least this part of the BeamNG Forums is English. In future posts, please use google translate and post it translated if you do not speak English. Please keep this in mind.

Regarding the contents of your message, what you are referring to would be using Hydro's (the system used for pop-up headlights) to make the doors open and it would be a cheat. I intend to use the official openable system that the vanilla cars use. Whether that will happen via my modding, I dunno. As it stands right now, I have been trying to get the doors to work, with some steps working, however the doors still do not open and close properly.

I hope to get someone to help me and take care of the openables for me so that it is done properly. However, it seems nobody wants to volunteer, so I will have to ask a modder that knows how to either explain it or add the openables themselves for me.

If you mean the in-game repo webpage, no. The assets need to be original or use BeamNG cars as a base to it to be uploaded to the repo. This mod's assets are from other games and modified by me to fit/work/be somewhat original, that is why it is in a forum thread.
