Re: Gavril D-15: Electric Edition I think it has something to do with the clutch on the direct drive thing. The clutch is never fully off
Re: Gavril D-15: Electric Edition Don't know if this was mentioned, but I saw someone mention the T series and saying it couldn't be electric... perhaps to make it more believable you could have like an electric T series with a turbine backup generator... granted the way that we drive on here it would be running all the time... so if it is implemented yet ( I have no idea if it is) you could have a 20K RPM engine hooked up to a CVT transmission and it would give kinda the same effect Just my 2 cents.
Re: Gavril D-15: Electric Edition change the viscous coupling to like 8 or 16 and then the problem will go but it won't be cvt any more
Re: Gavril D-15: Electric Edition The mod is updated but I just have gotten no chance to upload it. It should be online this weekend at the latest
Re: Gavril D-15: Electric Edition No installation needed for that. just Paste all contents of my zip into the pickup.zip (experimental) or where ever the pickup folder is.
Re: Gavril D-15: Electric Edition Updated: See first post please If You're Lazy But if you muck up the install, don't request support if you just went here and not the first post
Re: Gavril D-15: Electric Edition Now this is a fun electric vehicle :3 much better than the previous version IMO
Re: Gavril D-15: Electric Edition UPDATED! Really awesome powertrains now Is it possible to simulate "recuperating/regenerative braking" in BeamNG? So the car will load itself when you release the gas pedal because the motor becomes a generator and is braking the car. Another thing: I found a little bug: Normal braking is ok when driving forward. But if you drive backwards with D15 Electric, the brakes are really weak. Its already hard to stop the car if you only drive 30 km/h (15 mph) backwards. The normal fuel driven D15 does not have this problem. So it must be a problem with the electric powertrain. Maybe the virtual clutch does not engage and the motor works against the brakes which it is not doing in forward mode.
Re: Gavril D-15: Electric Edition UPDATED! I don't know if regenerative braking is a possibility with the game...yet As for reverse; that has a high gear ratio, and the revs go high so when you brake, you are forcing the engine to wind down its powerband. I did this because well, most of us aren't cruising in reverse and the brakes are realistic going forward...the next version might have ABS.
Re: Gavril D-15: Electric Edition UPDATED! Updated again...forgot to put name.cs into the zip. This is needed for the sounds!
I've gotten inspiration to play NG alot recently and I am pretty actively working on my Desert Highway map. If I have time, a mod of the Bolide should be out soon!
Hey iheartmods, You did a great work there! I've had so much fun with the D-Series, that I gave the electric drive to the sunburst . Of course, I won't publish my version of it, as it is 99% your work, and I did only apply it to the sunburst. Anyways, if you'd like me to give you what I did yet, there's no problem at all . Thank you for this awesome mod!
I'd rather see you make a hybrid sunburst and a electric sunburst. Maybe have like a 1.5l engine and a small electric motor for the hybrid and the electric have like a simple electric motor for it.
Extremely sorry for the bump, but I noticed that all I'm getting is the sound of the wheels spinning, not the engine sound. I have the name.cs file.
