    Hey Guys,

Just grabbed the Alpha of this game and am struggling to get 20fps on my computer. Ive got a Radeon 7950 thats working at about 40% and a Q6600 which I suspect may be the weak spot. Im able to run most new games so I expected my PC to handle this a bit better than it is.

Ive already tried disabling all the FX settings and setting all the sliders to low but I only gain about 5 fps.

If anyone could offer advice that would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Its definitely your CPU holding you back. This isn't a "normal" game where they are very GPU intensive for all the great graphics. BeamNG Drive is a ton more CPU intensive, and while the Q6600 was good awhile ago, its not so much nowadays especially for this. All of the crashes are computed and rendered in real time which needs a bunch of CPU power.

As someone who has a computer with a Q6600, I can personally tell you that it's too weak.

I got 25 FPS at max, so if you want to run it better, get a new processor.
I currently have a AMD 760K overclocked to 4.6GHz and I can run a Moonhawk at 55 FPS just fine.
For 85$ you can get the AMD 860K which is the newer model of the one I have, it runs 30% better than the 760K.

Yeah, that CPU is massively behind. The good news however, is that the 7950 will run the game just fine once you upgrade the CPU.

Yes, but to get any newer type of CPU he will also need a new motherboard and RAM to go along with it.
