Hey. Have started working on a new drag racing track for all us drag racing lovers. This track will be a replica of 'Santa Pod'. I do not have any beamng modding knowledge, but I will model the map, add as much detail as I can without contradicting performance and hopefully someone will be on board to help port it over to Beam. Please look below for updates! (Original post edited)
Yes there is, I believe alot of the Drag objects are in this folder: \BeamNG.drive\content\levels\west_coast_usa.zip\levels\west_coast_usa\art\shapes\objects
I can find certain models but a lot of what I need is in a .ter (terrain) file which I have no idea how to open.. even tried outdated blender addons but no use. anyways, decided to make myself, this is the progress so far, only a couple hours work.
Will be modelling from the entrance road/ back road, to the surrounding area - today I have finished the solar panel field, started adding tents/trailers in pits, finished a couple fields of grass etc You can see the road path in this pic so expect a bit more on the outskirts i.e further fields and a bush wall boundary
.ter files are generated and edited via the in game editor. It's usually recommended to make a copy of the template map and work from there.
Big update; she's in game. Still need a lot of work but wanted to get the base file working. Still to do: add surrounding fields add entrance add further props Figure out how to add working tree and result panels Figure out how to add collision
