Hello there! I mainly use BeamNG.drive for playing with AI vehicles, sending them across the map (using ai.driveUsingPath) while spectating them. In v0.35, the Lane Change Cancellation is new to the AI behaviour, cancelling a lane change when another vehicle is too close on the other lane. This is really good when a faster vehicle (such as a Bastion) wants to overtake a slower vehicle (such as a H-Series) on a highway or a different straightforward road. But it becomes a problem when the vehicles need to line up into an intersection turn lane or reach a highway exit, resulting in weird stops from the vehicles. Here's an example situation I've encountered multiple times: West Coast USA: A bunch of path-following vehicles just passed the tollgate of the highway - among them a Gavril H-Series followed by a slightly faster Bruckell Bastion, both on the rightmost lane. While accelerating, the Bastion gets closer to the H-series and finally tries to overtake it. So it changes the lane to the left and accelerates even more. But as it allmost passes the H series, the exit appears where they want to leave. The H-Series driving on the outer lane successfully leaves the highway and continues following its route. But the Bastion, which couldn't get to the outer lane in time suddenly comes to a full stop in the midst of the highway - throwing away its whole route, waiting for a player control or a new ai.driveUsingPath command. The scene is the same when cars attempt to line up in the right intersection turn lane, for example when vehicles line up in order to go left at a turn lane intersection... And it occurs quite often when avoiding cars is enabled...
Man I think there's something wrong with the odometers or the fuel comsumption in BeamNG --- Post updated --- One more thing tha would be good is if we could hold the "Temporarily increase FBB strength" button, because I have to click 70 times a single key every time I modify my car or change it, just to get to the strength I desire
During the tanker delivery mission, if the trailer is manually detached and then reattached, checkpoints stop working. This issue does not occur in delivery missions that have a single drop-off point instead of checkpoints. Same goes for Cruise Control.
Why can't we get Vehicle Awareness for the EVADE AI Mode? It's pretty frustrating how every single police chase ends with a dramatic rear end collision between the suspect and a poor civilian and since other AI Modes do have the Awareness feature why isn't it available for Evade?
Not sure if this has been mentioned but for the new Performance Assessment feature in career mode, some cars just become stuck at the start of the assessment. The car doesn't start at all, even if it works when driving normally.
Hey ! I'm a bit late to the party and it's my first time doing one of these but here goes: Bug report Issues not necesserly comming from .35 but I don't see them in the known issues listing. General When player vehicule crashes into traffic, a random traffic vehicle other than the one being damaged honks. Steps to recreate: 100% rate with traffic in Freeroam on Career. Career mode Upon exiting the paused map menu, my vehicle found itself in first gear instead of the 5th it was in before the pause. Steps to recreate: unkown. Happened two times with TC80S Tanker specifically, over 50 hours of gameplay. I couldn't correlate it with anything. Drift UI switches to Freeroam when stoping or exiting dift zones. Steps to recreate: 100% occurence when stoping or leaving a drift zone. Some parts have the same price for all trim levels. Most noticeable on breakpads (basic to full-race have the same price) but applies to other parts as well like turbos for the T-Series. Using the lightbar keybind will make traffic see you as a priority vehicle when you don't have any lights attached. Pressing it a second time will revert this effect. Steps: tested with D, H and T series. Personal wishes for the game Because I have to share my genious ideas with someone On diesel vehicles, high engine RPMs should lead to more turbo RPMs even when no fuel is injected since there is no BOV and no butterfly (I hope that's how it's called, the thingy that is connected to the throttle by cable on old gasoline cars) It would be """"fun"""" to collect average repair cost per mile in Career mode from people who opted in to telemetry, and use it as a base for insurance prices (updated every X months through a patch for example). This only applies to the ETK K-Series, other ETK models have this fixed. It seems as if the devs forgot to put a description for the ETK K-Series trunk lettering. This is also proven in the files:
There is a bug where if you change the traffic AI to a different vehicle, it becomes uncontrollable and becomes like a floating object in the air. Has anyone else encountered this bug?
Man the fuck happened with BeamNG?? I got a message asking to enable online features, so I accepted it, now all my shit is back to default, settings, assists, driving mode, controls, camera, almost fucking everything, except for the keybinds, and now my camera won't lock onto horizon??? It's so uncomfortable for the camera to lock with the car, and I can't change it, my camera feels weird. --- Post updated --- Turns out the Enhanced Interior Mod camera got disconfigured, that's why it feels weird --- Post updated --- but man, why does the game have to put everything to default? It's been 30 minutes that I'm trying to put everything all together
The only time that kind of thing happens is if the game creates a new userfolder, so the userfolder probably got corrupted/deleted
It probably didn't migrate properly, normally when you update it moves the stuff from the old userfolder to the new one
please fix DT40 bus hydraulic suspension and make it drive straight instead of going to the right side while driving straight and also if it is possible please make a newer version of the DT40 bus
Not only. I've also seen this on several MD series and on 5th wheel T-series with manual transmission. Maybe I caught it once on H series as well, but I don't remember it for sure.
