This update, 1.0.6, has a couple of fixes and edits, and they are as follows: The rear suspension has had edits which should hopefully make larger wheels and grippier tires not cause it to violently shake during wheelspin, thanks to Dennis W. It might still not be perfect, as some setups will put a lot of stress on the suspension to begin with, but it's better than it was. The front indicators' orange glass option now has support for the same fading lights as the rest of the car.
i've purchased this mod on gumroad but i don't have an account on the site. do i need one to download updates?
This car does an amazing job at behaving like a boat on air suspension. Nothing quite remotely like it in Beam other than the Centauri and the Segra Ultimat. Absolutely a fabulous vehicle to go rallying in!
No, the email doesn't contain the actual file for the updated mod. The update can only be found in the library of the account you bought it on. If you didn't have an account when you bought it, find the purchase receipt email and use the "View Content" button. If you can't find it, just DM me your email and I'll resend you one so you can access it.
I can't recommend Gumroad for purchasing mods. I can't log into my Gumroad account to download updates for purchased mods, and I have to wait for leaks of the mods I purchased from Gumroad to be able to use them. Gumroad isn't responding to my requests for support.
I think there might be an issue with the air suspension, the ride height doesn't return to the level it was at when going from Low to Normal setting
The ride height change isn't very obvious, but if there is an issue you could probably fix it with Ctrl + R or Ctrl + L What version of the mod are you using?
I'm using the latest version but it's been an issue since the release of the mod. It is possible to fix it by resetting the car/game engine but I'd like to be able to have it working correctly without doing that everytime I lower the car, especially when I'm using career mode. It may not seem noticeable but try to spawn the car, pause your game then click the "Low" option and watch how much it lowers, then pause again and click the "Normal" option, you'll see it doesn't raise back to the normal height. Actually as I'm writing this I noticed that when going from "High" to "Normal" fixes the ride height issue but I think this needs to be looked into by Finn.
This is just because of some sort of physical limitation- it's something I'm aware of. I've found it can be "fixed" by adjusting height while the car is moving or driving off after adjustment while stopped. --- Post updated --- Not necessarily. Just find the email you got when you first paid for the mod and click on the button which sends you to your purchase, and it should be there. If you can't find the email, I'm happy to resend one to you if you dm me what the email was. (so I can find it in purchase logs)
That sounds like the Parking Brake. You can physically see the suspension being compressed when the handbrake is engaged on all vehicles. I don't know if that is realistic or not but that's just how Beam does it.
mod is awesome! but Finn i have a question. Can i use logotype and name procyon on my project procyon avior 2007?
It is realistic. You can usually see this when parking on an incline. When you let off the brakes and let the vehicle's weight sit on the handbrake, it will lean. Then it of course levels itself again when you come back and get going. Besides the motion, it can also be noticed by the creaking of the body when the weight gets shifted.
I tried with and without the parking brake. Even with the parking brake disabled, it still didn't raise the suspension back to what it was when the car spawned. Either way, Finn stated it's likely due to some sort of physics limitation and we now know it can be fixed by choosing High then Normal height.
