It Would be cool to have cars that can damage buildings, and not just themselves........ This is an idea of how it could look: (use the link below) http://r.search.yahoo.com/_ylt=A2KL...wn_Wall//RK=0/RS=WARp.IEkTxTKLErm66Kt8Clr2rM- Here's how it looks now in BeamNG.Drive: (use link below) https://video.search.yahoo.com/vide...fr2=p:s,v:v&hsimp=yhs-001&hspart=mozilla&tt=b In BeamNG.Drive nothing happens 2 the wall.
I don't think any good quality damage to buildings will ever be implemented into the game, as you will need an extremely good pc for it to be playable with reasonable FPS.
Could u Dent The wall? At All? If u were going 300 miles strait into a street lamp it would break the lamp in half and probably do less damage to the car than if u crash into and indestructible street lamp
You can't dent or damage any buildings on any of the maps. You can however download the high resolution cube that could maybe simulate some kind of wall for you: High-Resolution-Cube And there is a destructable street light in the experimental version of the game.
also if u can crash 4 cars into each other with basically no lag then u could probably crash 1 car into a wall with no lag - - - Updated - - - oh. but what if u build a map out of the hi-resolution cubes?
The bigger/more complex the jbeam the worse performance you are going to get. Does the T-75 lag for you? A building would be way worse than that. Also, on the high definition cube question, theres going to be a point where your computer doesnt want to cope with all of the information of the cubes self colliding and deforming without you even crashing into them seeing as physics is constantly on. It just wouldnt work well
We didn't say it wasn't possible. We just said that if the buildings had physics, no one would be able to run it.
We could be talking fiberglass caravans There was one in RoR and it proved cool and relatively reallistic It was made by myth so if he feels like it he could make/convert one into BNG and that is almost a house! Caravan
Clearly you don't play space engineers. They implemented the ability to dent asteroids when hit with a large ship. It doesn't lag to the point of not being able to be played. He's not asking for there to be individual bricks in each building, he just wants a building that reacts at least a little bit to collision.
That is likely not soft body physics, but rather a rigid physics system. That would require a ridiculous amount of time to be implemented into the game. not to mention that implementation is questionable. - - - Updated - - - well someone could build a wooden shed, that when hit would fall apart into some planks of wood, which would be kinda cool.
Havok might do really well in BeamNG. Then again, the rigid physics engine might need to be built in-house so that it works properly.
