Here comes the original thing I was going to post... It's happening! The dev livestream is TODAY (March 20th) at 6pm EST! This initial stream, called #0, will be more focused on showcasing the changes I have yet to share, including mod support, sound changes, and progress of the overall mod. Hope to see you there https://www.youtube.com/live/WgVc_a0zbDY?si=eKGaOcVBlf8fCHfe Also, to maintain good forum decorum - this will be the only time I will be posting a stream here. Because this is the initial/first occurrence, I want it to be posted for those who are aware and are interested. Any future streams will be announced on my YouTube channel.
Hey there! I appreciate that. So I got burnt out almost immediately after the first stream posted above, so not much progress has been made. I've been struggling with burnout (I think) due to my desire for perfection, and wanting to keep changing things. The mod is already pretty big in scope, and it seems each update it gets larger and larger. This next update will change every engine sound... so imagine all the work I've done up to this point being scrapped and fit into one. Having 14+ engines and having a new way to once again change sounds is throwing me for a loop. It's a lot and I'm just simply burnt. I'm currently bouncing from FH5 sounds to FM7 sounds... and deciding (slowly) which ones I like best. After playing with my mod with the new BeamNG update, I didn't notice anything unusual at first glance so unless someone points out a bug/fix that needs to happen I won't be releasing a hotfix until I desire to do so. Sorry to disappoint anyone waiting for updates but I hope you can understand my perspective.
Also something to note, while thinking about this subject and what I said above.. maybe I can do smaller releases.. I'm not exactly sure why I want to include all fixes and stuff in a giant release. Like every engine I update and think is good to move forward, I can push the update to y'all and begin working on the next things while you all have the opportunity to drive it and check it out. Something to think about. I may end up doing more releases like this, and the major version update videos will just cover all the minor releases in between like normal.
I like the small updates, we still using these engines in the drift comp server! Would love to get the updated version!
Hey, idk if you still take suggestions BUT if you do i got 2 engines that i think would sound great in beamng the 6.2l supercharged v8 from the c6 corvette zr1 (one of my favourite sounds from forza) And the 3.5l v8 from the ferrari f355
I do! It will take quite a bit to implement them... but I will take a look at those. As a small status update, right now I'm in the final phase of the next version, v0.7.2b. I only have to finish a couple more things and start the QA process. I'm thinking about doing a cinematic for this update as well
Do you have discord? We can get you some great drifting footage of multiple cars side by side drifting for you if you need. super stoked for update.
I do have a discord, but the cinematic will have to be with the new engine sounds ^^ but I appreciate the sentiment! I'm expecting to start working on the cinematic either late this week or next week. I will have a friend helping me that knows how to at least put together footage for a cinematic so I'm excited to start working with him to get this figured out. Looking forward to sharing more in the coming weeks!
Status Update 5/4/2025 Hey there! Wanted to drop by and say that update v0.7.2b is coming this week! I've made excellent progress with the cinematic and I'm starting the QA process getting the mod ready for release. Can't wait to share both! Before you go... here's a "little" teaser for the cinematic...

Hey I've tested a good bit of these, and everything is wonderful. But did you nerf the loudness of the XTremes? Here you can hear that it's not very loud. or is it quiet due to only having exhaust upgrade? If so anyway to still get louder without upgrades? Maybe increase the volume increase percentage?
Well that sounds extremely off. Did you check your audio settings? It sounds like the audio for engines are very low while the tires are normal volume. Another thing to look at is the bxtreme tuning and check if the engine/exhaust db levels are low for some reason. All of them should have roughly equal sound volume.
Audio settings are all maxxed out on game settings Tuning was maxed out aside from turbo noises on that video. I used a fresh install on that video i sent you so no cache issues. The only upgrade I had on the engine with the XTREME exhaust which use to be much louder but can barely hear it now.
Thanks for pointing this out! Not sure how I missed this. It was an easy fix - I had to delete lines in the blend file calling for non-existent sound files. I'm on vacay right now so a hotfix won't come until next week. Thank you!!
No worries! Glad you was able to correct it. I might try and fix it myself in the mean time till you get yours fixed. --- Post updated --- - update (welp i guess I am better than I thought, got it fully working on the zenith since it's just a pessima. Followed same methods as in Modsupport folder but used renamed pessima jbeams) - thanks for laying it out easily Everything else is perfect man. It opens so much up for everyone to build crazy drift cars.
