You can actually run it on Mac and have done many time, Get Crossover https://www.codeweavers.com/crossover make a new BeamNG bottle and enjoy, On my M1 it actually runs quite nice but too high of settings makes it overheat just a tad so I would recommend a laptop stand (I just used a 3" tall box) and turning the settings down a bit. Also Muye's FPS video is quite helpful too: I went from 45-70 FPS ECUSA

no you can use Whiskey Mac Emulation to run windows applications, thought expect approx 30-40% performance drop wth emulating.

you need to have emulation software on your mac and that means say bye bye to 25-60% perfomance drop (depending on your emulator) which i would then recommend a top tier M4 Max chip with 40-core gpu and at least 48gb of RAM to hopefully meet your performance requirements

Can you share your settings please? I'm kinda struggling with finding a config that would be playable with several vehicles around. If I set a low resolution, races menu becomes poorly interactable including vehicle selection. If I set too low graphics settings, I get too low rendering distance, and I see turns coming too late. If I set high resolution and medium settings, fps goes too low. Still playable in free roam, with no traffic, but too laggy in career mode or races.
I have Air with M1 and 16GB RAM, Crossover with GPTK 2.1, high resolution mode and ESYNC chosen.

On Intel macs you can change the os to Windows but on silicone chip macs, it doesn't work as well
