Been thinking for a long while, and I have no idea what could give me the best possible performance. Of course, both GPUs are good, but which one does the best for the highest fps? I hear about people having issues with AMD, but also that AMD has better raw performance. Anyone with their benchmarks?
beamng has performance issue with amd gpu, so I think go for 5070ti is better option Btw for raw performance, AMD is better lol
That's a good question. Personally I had both. I first bought a 9070XT Taichi. It was a great card but i returned it for a 5070TI Prime. Both are very good cards. I didn't had any specific issues with the 9070XT. But i took the Nvidia card because it was just 20$ more. If you want the pros and cons 9070XT. Good at what's non ray traced (still decent with medium ray tracing though) A lil bit better at normal non rt (depending of the game though) 5070TI Better at raytracing and at anything's that isproductive outside gaming, Video editing, 3D rendering. Almost identical in perf with the 9070XT with some slight variations from game to game There's more games with DLSS than FSR for now In short. If the 9070XT's like 200$ cheaper than the 5070ti. Get the 9070Xt If ray tracing matters a lot to you. And you use your pc for productivity. Get the 5070ti because of the cuda cores For beam. Id say to pick the 5070ti cause i heard some people had issues with AMD GPUs. It's up to you though. Both are great cards of a similar caliber anyway. I hope this lil resumee helped you.
yea but in AMD cards we have some performance issue with beamng if we don't mind the issue, yea I will go for 9070Xt too
5070Ti in Beam can run anything maxed out in 4K ultra settings without any issue. In my type of game play my CPU becomes the bottleneck, 5070Ti level performance is more than enough from a graphical standpoint.
i had a 9070xt but rn i even went to 5060 ti and its faster than the 9070xt in more reflected maps i would 100% go for the 5070ti bcuz its more stable too
9070xt has a lot of issues driver crashes performance issues, played beamng on in and my 3090 worked better then the 9070xt, returning the 9070xt and exchanging it for a 5070ti, for my first amd card was pretty disappointed
if you have the money get the 5070ti , i know that the fsr and raytracing on amd has gotten extremely better with rdna 4 but nvidia has better features for streamers , editing and modeling apps (not sure on this one)
I think the 9070XT may perform better in some scenarios, if paired with a capable AMD CPU. But in most cases the 5070 Ti will perform slightly better or more stable, with better 1% lows and average FPS. Given how mature the NVIDIA Drivers, the multiple generations of Tensor/CUDA Cores for DLSS and better compatibility. That being said, the AMD 9070XT is a fair amount inexpensive, but some productivity programs, creative work and workstation applications may not perform as well as the 5070 Ti. So if the budget is not tight, or there is budget left, I woukd go for the 5070 Ti.
Well, NVIDIA is only better for productivity in certain circumstances, a regular person will never see the benefits of CUDA realistically if they chose AMD (OpenCL) vs NVIDIA (CUDA) See https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/General-purpose_computing_on_graphics_processing_units#List_of_GPGPU_accelerated_software:~:text=4].-,List of GPGPU accelerated software - list of software that a user may use (Ofc there is other software, but the list is small) Just as an example: by default, on most distros OpenCL amd or mesa isnt even installed and has to be installed via a sperate package or an installer
You raise a fair point, but with all this "AI slop" newer cards are going to get more AI centered features. The difference is which is first to do so. --- Post updated --- And just a correction to myself, there is no DLSS in BeamNG.
I do agree, AI features are coming to everything, however, companies will likely still offer it to be cloud based, mainly due to data selling lol (You are offering a product for free, the user will be the product) Take a look at Samsung AI, it is done mostly in the cloud, and the local processing is not that intensive at all. AI can be heavily optimized for single usage, but if you want to have 1 model 50 different uses, thats where they come from Just as an example: the Adreno 750 (The GPU that S24, S24+, and S24U uses) is what does the local AI processing on Samsung, the Adreno 750 does worse than the Intel Arc A380, which has a 168% lead in it on OpenCL benchmarks --- Post updated --- The 9070 XT has a 1181% lead, the 9070 a 919% lead, and the 9060 XT a 609% lead
AI features, as in Deep Learning Super Sampling (NVIDIA RTX), Exynos Neural Super Sampling (Samsung Exynos), MetalFX (Apple M Series), and Fidelity Super Resolution (AMD RDNA Radeon) have made large strides to use "the power of AI" for better performance. This sort of operation is handled on dedicated archetecture of these workloads. Furthermore, anybody in the creative field is experiencing more local AI features such as background separation (Apple FCP, Adobe PR Pro, Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve Studio), track seperation (Apple LP), background removal/generation (Adobe LR/PS).
For BeamNG.drive, I would probably choose the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT over the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti. Why: best raw raster performance usually more video memory for this price BeamNG benefits more from raw GPU power than from ray tracing The RTX 5070 Ti is still great if you care about: DLSS ray tracing WHERE streaming/editing AI capabilities But specifically for multiplayer gaming + BeamNG traffic, the 7800X3D + RX 9070 XT combination will be an excellent build.
What on earth are you talking about? The 5070ti and 9070XT has the exact same amount of memory? Beam benefits from RAW CPU power especially when you crank up the AI cars. The CPU is almost always the limiting factor with lots of vehicles in beam.
