    Updated Lore
Ibishu Yoru — A Joint Pursuit of Precision

In a rare display of engineering harmony, Ibishu and Hirochi have joined forces to create the Yoru: a performance sedan born from mutual respect and shared ambition. Built on a lightly modified Sunburst chassis, the Yoru represents Ibishu’s interpretation of modern driving—agile, assertive, and designed for thrill-seekers on any surface.
Wrapped in a bold, all-new body styled by Ibishu, the Yoru blends rally-ready toughness with street-smart finesse. Transverse-mounted 1.8L and 2.0L Ibishu inline-fours deliver energetic powerbands suited to gravel sprints and tight canyon runs alike. Hirochi’s sophisticated AWD system—revised to match Ibishu’s setup—enhances traction across wet pavement, loose dirt, and high-speed sweepers, making the Yoru as composed in the city as it is in the wild.

Though the suspension geometry and drivetrain layout echo the Sunburst, Ibishu’s adjustments to frame rigidity, ride tuning, and cabin dynamics lend the Yoru its own rhythm. It doesn’t just drive—it communicates, delivering crisp feedback and effortless control wherever the road takes you.

    A Partnership That Pays Off

For Ibishu, the Yoru brings fresh momentum to its performance line—merging trusted Hirochi mechanicals with original design and urban versatility. It signals a return to form, proving Ibishu can create a driver’s car with both flair and substance.

For Hirochi, the collaboration highlights the adaptability of its architecture and AWD philosophy—positioning the Sunburst platform as a trusted backbone for dynamic reimagination. It also opens the door to future cross-brand tuning endeavors, reinforcing Hirochi’s reputation for engineering excellence that transcends segment lines.

Whether you're pushing through a rally stage or navigating a weekend cruise, the Yoru is built to deliver. It’s the Evo to Hirochi’s WRX—but with the attitude of an executive, the heart of a driver, and the brains of two automotive giants.

    What to Expect
Built off a modified Sunburst chassis, the Yoru includes custom body parts, 2 i4 transverse engines, custom sounds, modified suspension and more. Many parts from the sunburst still cross over by design.

    Still To-Do:
    Fix UV and add skins

Fix a couple one way meshes

You will make more configurations, skins and bodykits? I have some ideas of what you can put on the car

    Some points about the lore:
*Why would Hirochi partner with Ibishu to make a Sunburst competitor? Makes absolutely no Sense. Using the Sunburst as a base on the mod creation side is totally valid, but that does't mean that an Ibishu Sunburst with I4 engines makes any sense. I'd suggest changing a little the design on the cabin (door shapes and other frame bits) in a way that would differentiate the cars enough for them to be based on different platforms, although on the same segment.
*About the powertrain, the I4 engines would be Transverselly mounted, right? If yes, Hirochi's AWD system would, again, make no sense on a technical standpoint. The Lancer used a modified Haldex-like system, since it is something that fits on a car with a transverse Transaxle. Unless you are aiming on the Alfa Romeo system with a center differential, although that would be too niche and the Sunburst already has a system like that, a tuned Clutchex system (based on the Vivace) would make A LOT more sense and would fit better the Lancer theme than a Subaru System heavily modified to fit on an transverse engine/transaxle.

Other than that, the mod looks really good, and the Sunburst Jbeam is SO good now that it can't be bad to drive. The mod itself is very promissing, some fixes on the lore would make it close to perfect.

I second this ^^ if you slightly change the cabin (and make a normal door handle in the rear to differenciate it a lot) you could use the lore that its not a partnership, since something like toyota being partners with nissan or ford being partners with gm makes little sense
also i dont know what the years are but having a more "conventinal" headlight/tailight design for the lower trims/or like a prefacelift could go a long way since to me at least those lights look like a 2020s car and not a 2010s one

The design of the front is amazing, but I don't like the rear taillights as much, just saying. Maybe some stuff should be changed or maybe you should make it so that it looks less like a sunburst on the interior. I wish I could test this car lol, but can't because I'm broke, so I think it's basically like a sunburst body kit. It doesnt make sense that hirochi helped ibishu make a competitor to their own car. Maybe its lore could be changed to be a more modern Hirochi sunburst. But that's up to the creator

Don't bother paying for it, it is literally a sunburst with different facia and material issues.

Thanks for reminding me to cancel my Patreon auto-renewal, I'm glad I didn't take your staff's word when they said they canceled it because they didn't like me. :3
I had a couple days left on my subscription, so I did get to check out the Yoru and...

Well, let's just say that these credits make a lot of sense when looking at the the quality of different parts of the car. If the $3 is split between all of these people, then it may actually be worth supporting, but given my previous interactions with RLS that's most likely not what's happening. In fact, I'm pretty sure when RLS says "RLS Team" they're actually referring to their pay-to-access discord.

Fun fact: By pure filesize, the paid version of this mod is about 67% vanilla BeamNG content, 19.5% other people's work (existing Ibishu Plus textures, engine sounds, etc.) and about 13.5% completely original content. This original content is split between SPRSTR's 3d model (about 97% of the remaining filesize) and RLS's apparent $3 worth of contribution, which amounts to... configs, config screenshots, config descriptions (most of which are completely inaccurate), and a tweaked Sunburst jbeam that is visibly lower quality in the areas that have been edited.

I don't like being negative any more than you like reading it, but come on. All you had to do was... not charge three dollars.
Or at least care enough to make proper configs with accurate names and no leftover license plate overrides.

    Not in the slightest! :)
Once/if it gets released for free, it would be on par with other medium-to-high quality mods on the repo. I'm just saying it feels a little disingenuous to make a mod that's mostly basegame content, outsource all the high-quality parts, and then accept payments for it at about the same price as other mods that are objectively much higher quality and, from what I understand, mostly actually created by the people selling them.

Not to mention the abject absurdity of the Hirochi/Ibishu partnership lore, but that's a creative choice, not an economic one.

Many community members often share mods in this section that are not yet publicly available or remain in private beta. Currently, this mod is in private development and not publicly released. It will not be a permanently paid mod; however, there is an option to support us through a paid beta. This support directly contributes to the ongoing development and helps us compensate our dedicated 3D modeler for their valuable work.

As this is our first vehicle mod, we fully understand the high standards of the vehicle modding community and recognize that expectations for quality are exceptionally high, even in early versions. Participation in the paid beta is entirely optional—it's simply a way to help us enhance the mod's quality, potentially fund future vehicle projects, and show appreciation to our team members. If you prefer to wait for the full, free release, that option will always remain available.

Our primary goal is to release our work freely to the community, and offering this paid beta phase seems like a fair and transparent way to achieve this goal while providing early access to interested supporters. Thank you for your understanding and support!
