Leaf springs generate friction as they compress into each other. They act like position based dampers/shocks and springs all at once. I’ve seen some complaints that the MD is a fairly rough ride when it isn’t loaded but even velocity based shocks wouldn’t help matters. Its suspension has to be tuned for one state (loaded or unloaded). Can’t really cover all conditions which is the nature of shocks and dampers.

Well considering the time for me (10:32 AM), I believe there will be no Teaser Tuesday unless by pure luck. However, we still have a Teaser Thursday so we can get one there instead of today.

What do you think the Miramar could get? Im thinking it might be a refresh since the textures and model are up to date, but their definitely needs to be more customizablility/parts and configs, plus maybe another bodystyle.

A few posts have already mentioned the possibility of a smaller and more era-appropriate inline-6, plus a 2-door coupe and/or wagon body style. I'm not much of a wagon person, and given the pre-existing racing config in the vein of the Japanese Grand Prix-winning GT-R (and the aforementioned I6), the 2-door seems like the natural choice to me.

I have found an Interaxle Differential Lock Switch model in one of the game files for the Gavril MD-Series. It's essentially the same as the one used in the Gavril T-Series. This can only mean one thing. (Or two) :D

This was just added for modders, it was easy enough to copypaste this switch along with the other ones. We are not planning more axles, they are not needed for this weight rating

    Tandem rear axles, eh?

edit: should have waited 30 more seconds. Guess not, but it is pretty uncommon just looking through a google search of medium duty trucks

The orange car is a Toyota Crown. I think the car should be lengthened in the same way as the s54 was (adding 30 cm between front axle and firewall), although a sohc inline 6 would be more fitting than your thoughts of a dohc i6. Also, of course I’m biased and want some drag configs :Dor at least the possibility of making them (shackles on leaf springs are all forgotten in this community). I really do wonder what the extent of this Miramar update is going to be.

Two teasers in one week and then no Teaser Tuesday the next is a bit odd, wonder what's coming

(this is a poorly worded joke. I haven’t been active on the forums lately lol)

As much as I like the idea, there's one big issue; the S50 skyline is a much smaller car than the miramar.

Both variants of the skyline are 160mm narrower than the miramar, and the normal S50 is 200mm shorter than the miramar and has a 140mm shorter wheelbase, meaning the 200mm extension to the S54 makes it... exactly the same length, and pretty much the same wheelbase as a normal miramar.
I've done a rough mockup size comparison below:
    upload_2025-6-4_19-19-10.png

and if you're wondering what the miramar with S54 proportions would look like:
    upload_2025-6-4_19-21-41.png

The reason for the miramar being so much bigger than the skyline despite only having 4 cylinder engines is due to it being based on the T60 Toyota Corona Mark II, which itself was an enlarged version of the T40 Corona, a car very close in size to the S50 Skyline (I would guess in the same tax bracket).
would they make an entirely separate smaller variant just to make the lengthened nose version more accurate? I don't think so.
could they just ignore all of this and make an even larger lengthened nose version because it's cool? absolutely.

Just checked the wiki of the 3rd-gen Corona, and in terms of engine and transmission options the Miramar matches fairly well. It was only offered with 4-cylinder, but an insane amount of different bodies. So, maybe a I6 for the race car, maybe new bodies (hardtop coupe, wagon, van, hatchback or pickup...).
