Update Speculation thread

Maybe a Burnside remaster? Also maybe a new 1st person camera

 

Miramar and Burnside remaster. Thats super exciting

 

Two Doors look incredibly nice

 

this update looks huge with all the content showed already im excided especially for the burnside!

 

Could be because whoever recorded this was using VR or TrackIR

 

I wonder if this is going to be another large update like 0.27 was considering how much has been shown already

Yep! That is a remaster indeed (or a remake)! Can't wait. I still have doubts for a Miramar remaster since the most recent teaser of it just has interior changes, with the exterior not even looking different. I guess I can say the Miramar may just get a refresh who knows?

 

Was it just me, or was the broken-down version a coupe?

Oh nice! I'm also excited for the rusty livery, so I can recreate the rust pile that I pass by on my local rail trail (no joke, there's a rusty frame of a car that's just sitting in the bushes, crashed into some chicken wire)

 

I hope 0.36 can remaster two or three old cars like 0.24 update

 

Juste watched the new teaser and this is what I've noticed:

- Something new about the 1st person camera view .. it felt more real and more fluid than the one than we have now . VR tracking or a totally new camera ?

- New Coupe Burnside body confirmed

- New engine sound ? Is it me or it sounds way better than the actual Burnside ?

- New " beater / rust " skin are we gonna have a Burnside AND a Miramar remaster at the same time ? If they do they are COOKING more than Gordon Ramsay sniffing cocaine !

Okay, I was not expecting the Burnside to get a remaster along with the Miramar this update. This does mean that the Miramar probably won't be receiving as much content as I thought it would, and we probably won't be receiving a new car, either. (I'm not sure if the Miramar would receive any new body styles, and it might not even get any new engines - the LeGran and '96 Pessima didn't get any in their remasters.) Still, very nice to see the Burnside finally get something substantially new after 8 years. If we're sacrificing a new car for all these old cars to be better, that's fine with me.

Considering how similar the Burnside is to the Moonhawk mechanically (body-on-frame/FR/double-wishbone at the front and live axle at the rear), I think the Moonhawk would be most likely to be the third remaster. (At least, I sure hope.)

Another possibility (albeit much less likely, IMO) is that the Grand Marshal gets a full remaster - it only got a partial one in 2019.

 

Also ... Hard to see but is this a new wheel or something already in game ?

Yeah , a GM remaster would be great as it's start to date . They could even throw some additional configs like a station wagon ( There is a very good mod out there but you know , official one ) , a coupe like the Americans brands were so good to make in the late 80s / early 90s and even a convertible while they are there would be nice !

But I wont lie , I was really expecting something totally new for 0.36 ... Love how they are remaking all the cars and everything but .. it's all something we've seen before , you know what I mean ? I just can't wait for the next totally new car !

But something doesn't add up ... They are adding stuff to the MD Series ( 1st teaser I think ) + Burnside Remaster + Miramar Remaster ? It's a lot for a single update , no ?

The engine sounds the same to me, still doesn't seem period correct.
