So, I'm not sure if any of you are aware of this, but there's a frame missing from the 73 configurations for the game - the HD extended cab short bed frame.

I'm not quite sure why this frame in particular isn't used. The game is no stranger to unused content (various transmissions, like the 2-speed auto in the Bluebuck, don't have configurations for them, either), and of course, a fair few frames for the T-Series' 48 frames aren't used, either. (The same can probably be said for the MD-Series.) But at least with those two trucks, it's understandable that various frames wouldn't be used - here, it's just a bizarre omission.

Almost every other vehicle has all of their frames used at least once (and most of them use all their bodies, as well (the Nine doesn't have any configurations that use its "driver seat and fuel tank" body, but every other one is used)). In the past, this frame configuration was quite common, since long beds and crew cabs weren't a thing yet. I can understand wanting to move many configurations over to more appropriate frames, but I still feel like every frame could have at least one config for it - especially since the standard frame has 11 configs for it.

If a new config isn't what you want to do, I feel like the D35 4WD Extended Cab Long Bed V8 could be changed to a short bed to differentiate it from the many long-bed heavy-duty configurations. Since it was meant to be sold to logging, construction, and utility companies, perhaps those businesses wanted a truck that could seat four or five people, but wasn't much longer than the D35 4WD Long Bed V8. (Granted, I'm not the most knowledgeable on how those businesses operate, so perhaps a long bed would be worth the extra length.) And the short bed still has the gooseneck hitch available, so that part wouldn't have to change.

It's not a big deal if this frame continues to go unused - it's just a bit odd.

'60s-'90s long bed American trucks were more common than short beds and heavy duty trucks would definitely usually have a long bed so it kind of makes sense. And the long bed on the current truck makes a lot of sense. That's what work trucks were.

And I see a lot of old crew cab trucks. Forest service used those for one

I don't know I just don't see the need to add or change configurations for this

Fair enough - I just find it quite odd that that one frame is unused. It's not terrible - it's just baffling.
