Builderz is a freeroam extension mod that adds fun and entertaining features to BeamNG.Drive that allow a player to raise (construct) buildings. To do this, players will deliver building materials to the construction sites using trucks and trailers capable of carrying the required materials.

    Currently in Beta.

Call for matz contributions here: https://www.beamng.com/threads/builderz-call-for-matz-donations.105434/

Seeking any and all feedback regarding feathers and functionality of Builderz.

    House building matz requirements.
    • Is the quantity of required matz reasonable?
    • Feel free to suggest a list and quantity.
    Matz variety
    • What are some of the needed matz types that are missing?
    Matz on flatbeds (no tie-downs)
    • What is the feeling in regards to their not being any tie-downs for matz on flatbed?
    • Is it more of a problem that matz can move around, or does it add fun/challenge to have to drive smoothly and safely to keep them from sliding off the flatbed?
    Menuing
    • Do you like the animated menu and its approach to providing information to the user?
    • When the menu is collapsed down to the side tab, is this convenient to single-click to access?
    • Does its positioning get in the way of other BeamNG in-game messaging ... is it a problem?
    • Are you using the double-click to see details on a site when your not at the site?
    • Is single-clicking on a panel to change it back to back to main panel view useful?
    • Do you tend to leave the side panel open while driving, or do you close it right away?
    • Should the menu auto-close when leaving a site?
    Vehicle Resets / Change
    • Currently if you INSERT to reset your vehicle, any matz on it will be lost. Is this good approach?
    • Should there be a warning if you attempt to reset before letting the reset happen, with an option to abort reset?
    • Same with changing vehicles?
    Accessing Zones
    • Currently, most times when there is a message saying you have to "leave the zone before..." ... the mod isn't enforcing that message and your able to move off and back onto the zone without having to drive around and leave the area before reentering the zone. Should this be enforced for sake of immersion?
    • Is the zone for logz too difficult to park in?
    • Should there be more/additional zones for same matz scattered around?
    • Where should there be some zones - either describe the location, or give map coordinates.
    Performance/Impact to BeamNG
    • Are you noticing any/much impact to your games performance/FPS?
    • Does it make the game unplayable to you?
    • Are you having any compatibility issues with other mods?
    Vehicle selection
    • Are there any missing vehicles that need to be added to the list of valid vehicles for transporting matz?

Hey there! I was the person who said the blocks weren't solid. By that I meant that they would just float in the air and not move at all, for example I could drive through them. Any help would be appreciated, thank you! Edit: I just hopped on after I updated the mod and it's giving me a fatal LUA error message.

Oh no, sorry to hear. Can you copy/paste anything off the lua error text, a screen print?

If you open the console screen (tilde key) when that happens and capture any red text that would be great help.

Also, could you try to disable your other mods to see if there was any effect.

Yes, I will try that, and I'll sift through my mods tomorrow as I have around 400 mods installed lol

I uninstalled like half of my mods and it's still giving me the error, thought this text would be helpful.

Hi ... so it looks like some compatibility issue with the "wallblock". This is the what the large cement blockz is. Do you have wallblock installed separately as a mod?

Did you install Builderz using subscription, or download it and copy .zip file? Can you confirm that under your builderz mod folder that you have \vehicles\wallblocks

Also I see the error actually comes from "CreateBrakeDuctSliders.lua" ... does that sound related to a mod you have installed? If so can you deactivate that mod.

Sorry for the hassles on this. Appreciate you posting the images.

Oh no worries on the hassle, it's absolutely worth it, I've been doing rp with myself on west coast delivering items across the map so it's absolutely something I've been looking forward to doing. I will check to see if I have it as a mod, but when I spawn it in manually it doesn't give me any error codes. And the "CreateBrakeDuctSliders.lua" doesn't sound familiar to me at all. I downloaded the mod from the repository, should I download the zip and place it in my mods folder? I do have the \vehicles\wallblocks folder. Also, I do not have the wallblock installed as a separate mod, I'll keep you updated on my situation.

I found that Luuks tire thermals and wear has brake duct features! I'll disable the mod and reply with any updated info.

Excellent! Glad to hear it’s working properly now. So no more floating blocks, right?

i think the pallets being a little more secure would be nice, maybe just some small invisible walls on the sides of flatbeds that stop the cargo from sliding off but dont stop it in the event of a wreck or silly maneuver.

Hi … that’s a good idea and one that I considered and created a.POC of. However, good news is that I’m finalizing actual tie down straps. I think their visual is nice and they function well. And bonus, if you crash or even tilt too much … they snap!
Look for it soon in next beta release (about a week).
