What was the “Soliad_Anole”?

 

If this... This could be a future car, maybe for 0.37 Update? Maybe with another remaster...
I'm thinking this...

 

Anoles are a species of lizard, and the only American car IRL currently named directly after a lizard is the SSC Tuatara.
I think it would be hilarious if the the devs just suddenly released a 1,800hp Soliad branded hypercar.

But perhaps that would be a good vehicle to test out the new tire tech they're working on?

 

If I remember correctly, one of the BeamNG devs stated they're planning to release a new vehicle I think end of this year or next year. My guess is that the Soliad Anole will be the new vehicle

It'll prob won't come in the 0.37 update, but who knows?

I was thinking of an offroad SUV but your idea is better. A roadster would be peak

Don’t know anything about an Anole…but we haven’t gotten a new vehicle yet this year so I’d say we’re due. Remasters and additions but no new cars - sure we’ll get an idea when the teasers start dropping again

 

so far, according to you all, one of these things will happen for v0.37:

• NEW VEHICLE: Soliad Anole (small chance of this being added, but who knows?)
• Hopper remaster (possible)
• Moonhawk or Barstow refresh (possible)

EDIT: @Agent_Y said that the Anole was probably created by a troll, so I have grayed out the Anole bullet point

 

I'm normally not crazy about speculating on future content with super-sparse details, since it usually devolves into wishlisting. But seeing as there's not much else to do here ATM, I'll throw in my two cents. Soliad is an American manufacturer, so since this is yet another American car, it needs to be or do something to set itself apart. Additionally, 'Anole' lands kinda funky on my American ears, so I'd say whatever it is must be something niche, goofy, and/or not appreciated in its time. I've got three theories:

1. It's a 60's-70's American compact car, likely in the vein of the AMC Gremlin/Pacer, Dodge Dart, or Chevrolet Vega/Corvair. This would bring us our first American compact, help fill in the lack of 70's car content, and offer us a platform for some pretty crazy aftermarket mods (Gremlin drag monsters and mid-engine Corvair conversions, for instance). The smaller footprint would probably also make the vehicle capable of offering some export models for the UK, Euro, or Australian markets.
2. It's an early-mid 2000's retro-styled car, similar to the Chrysler PT Cruiser, Chevrolet SSR and HHR, and the 2002+ Ford Thunderbird. Again, it would fill in a decade of cars that is currently a bit sparse, and again, would probably have some export model potential. Would probably be light on configs, though the SSR did have a kinda nifty convertible mechanism. I don't know if mechanical charm would compensate for a lack of variety, though.
3. Last but not least, there's the very real possibility it's all fabrication, made up by someone who was bored. 'Anole' was thought up without consideration for how awkward it would sound in the US, generated via AI, or is just a straight-up troll—'Anole' sounds and even looks a bit like the epithet 'A-hole.' Plus, I've spent an unhealthy amount of time trawling through the game files over my modding career, and I have yet to encounter a file that just... contains a comprehensive list of every vehicle. I won't rule out that I missed something, and it is fun to imagine, but we'd be doing ourselves a disservice if we just started taking exciting or inflammatory news at face value.

 

I had my doubts, but thanks for debunking it. Fingers crossed the next new vehicle is European or Asian...

Wouldn't this be the solidad landsale? But with a name "Anole" in the files before launching or having any changes?
