Hey guys! I was just wondering: Does anybody have an estimate as to when BeamNG.Drive will have Mac (apple laptop) support? Thanks!
git windows fgt Serious post: For the game to natively support Mac, Torque3D will have to support OpenGL, which is being worked on. In the meanwhile you can install windows on your mac with bootcamp or whatever the hell it's called, although I doubt a mac laptop will run Beam very well.
Macbooks aren't really performers, I hate to burst your bubble but a mobile CPU and integrated graphics will struggle with nearly every game out there. BeamNG is a high-spec game that only gaming laptops and gaming desktops can run well. You probably shouldn't risk overheating the laptop by running the game.
don't ever say those words, a lot of pre-built companies will offer shit pc's (some even with intel integreated graphics) and call them "Gaming" pc's
I'm sorry, I've been in the modding and building community for so long I forgot they still sell those things. I once saw a $2k rig with a gt 720 in it. I died a little inside when they said it had "maximum gaming power"
inb4 cuyberpower or ibuypower or whatever starts selling a rig with those exact specs for $20K because pre-built overpricing
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2qfKMp ultimate gaming pro pc hax0rz runs games at 100000 fps 8k tv hd super graphics fast only $1500!!!!!!!!11 (Yes, the PSU is gonna blow up, but an actual PSU was a whole $9 more expensive!)
nope, tower isn't red or flashy enough, everyone knows red makes things faster, and the only way to make a pc gaming capable is to be really really really flashy
On my Win8 PC: Intel Core i5 - 4200U, 1.6Ghz with 8GB of RAM. At least that's what it says, I have no idea what it means except for the RAM.
That's not going to go over well with Beam. I'll save you some time and say don't bother Bootcamping for BeamNG. 1.6GHz falls way behind around 3.0GHz, which is needed for good performance.
Ark disagrees http://ark.intel.com/products/75459/Intel-Core-i5-4200U-Processor-3M-Cache-up-to-2_60-GHz
http://ark.intel.com/products/75459/Intel-Core-i5-4200U-Processor-3M-Cache-up-to-2_60-GHz clearly says "Base clock: 1.6GHZ" it's a laptop i5, in a macbook as well
