I agree with the taking a break because of burnout. That’s okay, take a break for a while. But nobody is upset about no regular updates, we’re upset about no updates whatsoever for almost an entire year, even though we had more content that was promised early on. In the end, it’s your mod and you get to decide what you do with it, but many of us would appreciate at least some update with new content, the IRS at the very least is necessary. Very tail-happy without it.
Yeah this is the issue. We all understand burnout, we all get being human, I don't think anyone here doesn't understand how rough life is sometimes. However, we paid for a mod that had updates already planned at launch that haven't happened in over half a year. Like, I own the Procyon Avior as well, it gets regular updates and has done so since launch, I get emails on a semi-monthly basis telling me a new update for it is out. That's somebody who understands that people who are willing to pay money for a car mod are likely passionate about that car mod. I understand Lucas has a lot of mods to work on, but this is one of his only paid mods and yet it gets left to sit and collect dust. Even if Lucas decides to just do one giant update with all of his planned future updates bundled into one that would work. Just do something other then try and guilt paying customers into feeling bad that they want an update on a product they never had to buy from you to begin with but decided to support you on. I could've went to any number of websites and got this entire mod for free, but I explicitly chose to support the creator because I liked his work, now that same creator is trying to make us feel bad we just want an update to a product we bought to support him. Bottom line: don't make paid mods if you don't want to deal with having to update them for the people who made a conscious choice not to steal your mod and actually supported you with their wallets.
I must say I don’t agree with you, your tone sounds rude and demanding. The Avior is Finn’s only current main mod as far as I’m aware, and he’s got nothing else to be working on, so that isn’t the same thing. And LucasBE has the Picnic and Scout to maintain, both of which were broken a little bit ago.
i just wish we had some hotfixes for example the drift steering breaking, that's all i wanted all the new parts and extras that COULD come are bonuses in my opinion
Alr ur right abt the K-Series so that's on me, that's mb, I didn't mean to make u feel like an asshole, but I think most of us that commented were wondering abt if there was gonna be an update to this, not regular updates, but any update in general, myself included I think as more and more time went on, people started to resent u and the mod, I mean I still love it, but 7 months without new updates for a mod like this in a community like this can get ppl pretty desperate That's js my take on it and as to why ppl feel entitled
I don't want to be taken as entitled, I just can't see why paid mods aren't being prioritized well free ones keep getting updates.
It isnt a bug. It happends with irl mustangs (all until 2015) too, it is because of the Suspention type
This sums up my thoughts exactly. While some people may have a sense/tone of entitlement towards him and updating the mod, I feel like him calling out the whole community as "entitled" is more than a bit of an overreaction. While yes, like a previous commenter said, it is important to be satisfied and accept the product in its current state before purchasing. (Which was difficult at first since he delayed the demo version for a month or so after the paid release iirc) however, he did also openly discuss that additional content was planned. And, with this being a paid mod, you would also assume that it would be generally bug free. Now, I for one would love to see that content come to fruition, but honestly I think that most of us would be satisfied with just some general polishing and bug fixes. I think many of us would agree that, for a paid mod, while the Barstow is generally functional and the model quality is top notch, it can be pretty buggy. I totally understand the feeling of burnout, and I also understand that nothing is guaranteed, ever. But calling out the community that, again, chose to buy your product, (even if the actual monetary value was negligible), entitled, is a broad over reaction.
Anything that has a solid rear axle does that, it's not specific to Mustangs or the mod. The Barstow just happens to be low enough that it breaks the suspension better than some other cars.
I don't even see how my tone sounds rude tbh, I'll admit it was probably a little demanding but I was completely respectful in what I said. But hey, people get offended by anything these days. All I want is for the features we (again, paying customers who easily could have stolen this mod if we wanted to but chose not to) were promised in an update at release to come to fruition. If that happens that's all that matters to me.
To play the devil's advocate and throwing my 2 cents in, I've seen situations like this several times in different communities and the like, and while I do agree he should have kept people on the run-up of what's happening and all that, but at the same time I do understand where he's getting at to a degree. I've had people/friends in the same situation before, where things have been promised, but other people are on their necks wanting said things yesterday, and then cry foul when something else takes priority, so I can see it from both sides. Having re-read his post again, I frankly don't see how it's such a over reaction to begin with, maybe I'm too forgiving, hell if I know. I still have fun thrashing the car around for what it is, and long as it still runs and drives, it's fine enough for me. I will say this as I've mentioned before, at the very least, some occasional update on what or where the car is at I'd say is good enough, if shit happens, then a simple post updating people would be enough. But also again, I can see why Lucas would get more attention over others in regards to paid mods, given he essentially sparked it off, so yeah.
i can get where both sides are coming from and i think the community shouldnt be called "entitled" for wondering why the mod they thought would get updated that they paid for has been dead in the water for half a year --- Post updated --- i think its kind of a different situation when its something you have to subscribe to
