    Hi there,

I'm having problems with the new (stable) update. I've created a map called Wide Lands and since BeamNG has updated, the map won't load right. It just loads the Gridmap. Here's a link to the map: http://www.beamng.com/threads/11220-Wide-Lands . Is there any chance to recover it or modify it so it will work in the new update? Thanks in advance for replying. (Sorry for my bad english)

PS: Also most of the community-made maps don't work (for me).

This might seem very simple but have you tried restarting your computer to clear any cache? You could also verify the BeamNG cache in Steam.

Thanks for the reply, but it didn't help. I cleared the cache, restarted my laptop and verified BeamNG cache.
The map also didn't work in the experimental branch now and before the update. Are there any other options to make it work?
Also the preview picture in the new mapselector doesn't work. I looked up the .mis file and there is now no option to add a preview picture.

Known issue since last update, no one has truly solved this problem yet, as we do not have a known cause. =S

Also Resetting you're PC doesn't clear no cache... only system and ram cache. To clear you're BeamNG Cache you must delete the folder from

User>MyDocuments>BeamNG.Drive [Delete the contents found there] = Clean, Fresh Cache.

Ok, I think we have to wait untill the devs find a way to fix this.

    I did exactly that

First I'd try renaming it from GridMap.mis so that the .mis and level folder match.

Then I'd clean up the 600 MB of stuff that is not even used. Either leave them out and use resources from official maps (which could change at any time) or use resources from this map's folder and fix the paths in .mis, material files and such.

Torque3d.log usually has clues if something doesn't work.

I wish my T3D log had a clue about heightmaps failing to load. I'm getting the impression with all these weird and random map related complaints the devs
    have tried something aggressive.

After a long time I just though about my map I made last year Impossible-Mountains-%28Offroad-fun-for-everyone%29 and wanted to ask if there is any solution for this problem yet. (I haven't been on the forums for some months so I may have missed something)
