Sounds pretty cool! One question: What do you mean by "Download missing"? Is the target for people to be able to create modpacks and release them as that on the repo, where you would then make them automatically download the actual mods by subscribing to them via the repo? Because i made the "dependency resolving" part, not to the same extent but probably similarly then. Very interested in your mods, the conflict resolver also looks awesome so far!
Yes by download missing it means subscribing to the mods in the repo that you don't already have that are in the pack. Yes, I would assume that those packs would be allowed to be on the repo since its basically just a JSON file packed. Honestly the main purpose was for us (RLS) to convert our current mod the RLS Career Collection to a better system to require less updates due to repo mods updating. This mod is meant to make you able to just make your own packs, I know people who have a few different career saves that use different mods and this makes switching between that easier. I looked into it, but we do serve different purposes. Yours is done for compatibility for mods without requiring the user to download the other mods this is just to put your favorite mods together and share it if you want. I'm glad you like the conflict resolver it was actually made for this mod lol. The Repo Mod Manager would not be possible without the conflict resolver tbh
So far so good has been in beta for about 2 weeks now nothing major going to apply for repo sometime next week
Well yes, but you could also use it to make packs. Im still working on mine and will probably also release it on the repo with an installer in the end of summer. But yeah, keep it up, your stuff looks good
Release Announcement RepoManager is now released and available to the public! You can grab it here: RepoManager Mod I’ll also be applying to have RepoManager uploaded to the official BeamNG Repository soon, so you’ll be able to download it directly in-game once it’s approved. Thank you for all the support and feedback — this is just the beginning!
I only noticed that Repo Manager went publicly available on Patreon, right before you told it is now released lol Also, I dont know if "Queue All Packs" and "Deactivate All Packs" texts need to be that dark Also a question - how good can this mod manager handle very big amounts of mods (like 800+)? Are there any expected issues with such amount of mods?
Its built to manage over 1000 mods so should be fine, Its that dark since the buttons are inactive due to no packs in the custom section, Also built in dependency is the mod conflict resolver which should resolve most of the issues
woah this is exactly what i have been hoping for it will be so nice to have stuff all organised and set up mod packs that i use with career and what ones i dont but want to keep the different kei cars and trucks mods are a great example of this i like the mods but its annoying to have the dealership filled with them or mods that i like but have no cargo box support
I really like this mod so far but I have a couple of suggestions. First of all, the interface itself I think is really good but I'm not sure if it's just an issue on my side but it's very laggy, especially when scrolling through mods. I tried it even with no mods active and still it feels laggy I'm not sure why. I also think it would be cool to have some more ways to filter what mods are you can pick for a pack such as mods that are active. I also think it would be useful to also have a section where you can include mods from certain other packs rather than exclude them. Would also be cool to maybe have a duplicate button for packs say if you want to have one that's slightly different from another without having to select all of the mods again. Overall a really cool idea and works nicely so far.
