Update Speculation thread

There hasn't been a major update on Friday in the past six years since 0.17 - we're very unlikely to get one this time.

 

Could be friday because today would be disrespectful

 

Why exactly would it be disrespectful?

I'm asking because I don't exactly know? Now that you say this I can think of 9/11 but here in Spain we have a festivity for example. I'm genuinely curious that's all

 

today is the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in new york

 

I'd imagine they wouldn't want to release an update on a national tragedy, and while I know it doesn't affect people in other countries as much, a majority of BeamNG's playerbase is American. Releasing an update on this date could be considered disrespectful to some.

If you could bet on why 0.37 isn't released - because of 9/11 or it just needs more work probably 90% the latter will be true.
Following the ~3 month update cycle it should be released by the end of next week. Im pretty sure 9/11 has nothing to do with anything.

It’s actually shocking how many people outside the US don’t know about 9/11.

 

It’s weird we study other countries and appreciate their beauty, yet those same countries often view the US solely as a place where we eat hamburgers and idolize eagles. This narrow perspective doesn't do justice to the complexity and diversity of American culture.

 

I hope they realize overcharging for a game will kill it entirely..also isnt price gouging while something is OBVIOUSLY incomplete a violation of moral sense. Along with violating steams tos or some financial laws or something????
