Today, I have some VERY good news for you all! Previously, the biggest development barrier was the fact that I had not yet figured out how to properly make custom plate sizes with the new materials, but luckily my friend @rukatsunderi updated his tool for easily making them, meaning that I am now able to make custom-sized plates again This means development on all of my other mods can FINALLY continue like before the update. What you're seeing in the pics is my first test with his tool, 36x15cm plates used in Iran for oldtimer and free trade zone plates Hope you enjoy this new addition, I'll post more in the following weeks
Good evening everybody! The Middle East Pack rework is currently in the last stages of being finished and it's really just me waiting for the other modders to release their updated models so that I can finish Cypriot square plates and small Kuwaiti plates. Since I didn't want to be unproductive during this waiting time, I decided to finally give the Mercosur/Mercosul pack a very long overdue revival! First, I remade the plate model to fit the new texture system and then completely remade the 2015 Uruguay series from scratch. I will also add more plate types for every country in the pack going forward. Here's today's progress: Another cool thing you can see when clicking through the pictures that I've managed to add more dynamic watermarks. Instead of them being baked into the textures themselves like in the current version, there is now an additional texture being overlaid on top to make them look better and more realistic. Also, I'm very happy to announce that the Mercosur/Mercosul pack will not only be reworked but also rebranded into the South American pack. Also included in the next update will be the old series of Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay which I will show you in the following months. Hope you enjoy the work!

Hello everyone! I'm very glad to announce that after a modding break of almost two months, I'm finally back at modding again! The issue that was holding me back all this time was a conflict with another mod that I finally managed to fix now. Today, I finally started integrating @rukatsunderi 's custom sizes (28x20cm and 34x20cm) for Cyprus. Now I can finally finish reworking Cyprus and release the long awaited update in a few weeks. Hey everybody! I have some very good news and some unfortunate ones: The unfortunate news are that I have to delay the release of the Middle East rework because two days ago, the government of Qatar announced that will start issuing new license plates from 2026 onward and I want to wait for more information so that I can include those in the release too. I hope you have patience for that. But since I still wanted to keep working on my mods, I decided to finally start working on the long overdue South Balkan rework and I'm happy to announce that I just finished up the first country: Bulgaria! The new version will include a total of 17 different plate types all with realistic, reworked textures and also more realistic random generators. Both the old series as well as the new one are included. Also, I have a big announcement to make for the South Balkan mod: It will be rebranded as the Balkan License Plate Pack with two new countries coming to the mod! Hi! I just wanted to ask something about your mods. I just saw a thread which is over a year old now, but I didn't want to bump it. It was about being able to have two different license plate designs on the front and rear (e.g. having a modern british plate on the front and a pre-2001 font plate on the rear). You said that you might implement that in your future mods. You also mentioned that there are other mods that do this, but I haven't found any. Do you have/know of any mods that can allow me to separate the license plate styles?
Hi! This is only possible by playing around with the parts. Basically what we do is create another license plate model that is identical to the European plate but give it a different name so that the game can apply a different design to it. I will be using this system in the future for repeater plates but as for what you're describing, I sadly don't know any mods at the moment that do this. Sorry
Alright, so it's been a long time since you've last heard from me. A lot was going on, but I had made a few plates in the mean time (will attach them here). Unfortunately though, the devs have confirmed that 0.39 will completely change the license plate system and all plate mods before that will break. We don't know exactly what's going to change, but I'll pause my work until the update releases and continue accordingly. I also changed some of my plans and decided to make a European license plate pack first with all remaining countries that aren't covered by any members of the license plate modding Discord (https://discord.gg/SZnBnEJUj you can join if you're interested in license plate updates btw). nice, will the pack include special and older variants of said countries from the beginning or will they be added in the future?
I planned on keeping the same path I took before that. The initial release will only include the currently issued (or previously issued but still commonly found) types, then in the later updates I will start adding more obscure older plate types. Did this too with the rework of Albania (though I WILL have to rework it again when 0.39 releases... ):
In the Portuguese licence plate are you going to make the yellow tag that says the year ans the month of the car ( bz that is kinda hard to make, to match the year of the car ) , i really enjoy these licence plate they bc they are starting to get extinct.
