This absolutely ROCKS! I couldn't get it working at first, but then i followed your video, and it worked PERFECTLY! And the configs are REALLY nice and accurate. Thx a lot!
Thanks so so much dude! I’m glad you’re enjoying it!! If you have any feedback plz let me know, but I did my best to make them as accurate as possible! Even down to the radio colors used in the movie
something ive found a bit odd, is the spacing on the hood 53 for the love bug 68 and rides again herbie's, the 53 is more spaced out, the monte carlo and goes banana's ones look exactly like their counterparts in game i did find this decal kit which does have the more accurate early 53 hood decal
I think that might just be, because the other picture is farther away, which creates an illusion that it looks smaller. I do kinda see it tho. No problem! Thx! --- Post updated --- Is this a config, or a mod of its own? Just to be sure i install it correctly.
the love bug 1968 skin herbie rides again skin (which doubles as the monte carlo/clean goes banana's skin) the jim douglas pack like @UnspheredLeek74 said is a accurate movie/tv config pack. as these use the provided skins made for the original beetle mod.
I THOUGHT I was going insane tbf, the 53 Roundels did seem a bit close to each other on the hood! I would honestly have loved to include that in my “Jim Douglas” pack, now having confirmation of it existing, but tbf I don’t really know much about how to add new paint jobs to beam mods. I remember the last time I tried was for the NASCAR Herbie, but the actual texture file would compress and make everything look very pixelated. Idk how complicated it is, but if it’s possible, maybe @MrX13415 could try upscaling it to sort of modernize the paints? That’s really up to them tho
I FINALLY GOT IT. IF ANYONE WAS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AS ME. GO INTO THE MAIN FILE AND GO ALL THE WAY TO BUG. NEXT HIGHLIGHT EVERYTHING AND MAKE SURE U FOLLOW IN THE VIDEO THE CURRENT-VEHICLE-BUG. COPY OVER THE HIGHLIGHTED CONFIGS OVER INTO THE BUG FOLDER WHILST IN GAME ON UR MOD FOLDER HIT UPDATE ALL MODS AND BOOM YOU GET THE CONFIGS
Alright, but if you decide to do anything again, I think very early taillights and late elephant taillights would be really nice. Not saying you have to do it at all though, just a suggestion.
Idk if it’s just me that feels this way, but I’d myself rather keep all nazi-Germany-era parts away from this mod tbf… I know those older cars have their fans, but a separate car mod for them might make the most sense, considering that not only does the community, but VW themselves consider it a separate generation, like how the super beetle is…
i could add the late 40s production model stuff and so on but personally i'm focused on the 67-72 variants
40s stuff is pretty much identical to 30s stuff so that would be nice. Also, love what you've done already, considering that my family had a 1968 baby blue beetle.

I have an idea for MRX's beetle: What, if the foglight, was there in a way, where when you have it on your car, its covered. (Like default) But there's a keybind, that you could use to kind of "uncover" it. When it's uncovered, There would be another keybind, to turn it on. Oh, and @Bugster , is your bug a config for this mod, or a complete mod of its own? Just to be sure i install it correctly.
