The "CIVETTA J58" is already twin turbo, and the Midnight Entry variant makes more power than the car you mentioned above. That car only makes about 550 HP, If you want more than 750 HP with the 20lb bottle in the Midnight Entry, you have the LM variants that can be tuned to over 1200 HP with options. --- Post updated --- Small Update 2: Figured out my PSU was bad, I ordered another one (thank god for warranties. Always get the warranty!!!!). I am expecting my computer to be up and running by the middle of October or maybe a little before. As for the future of the mod; I am getting tired and frustrated at the community of this game. I am still going to release the next update, but I have decided to end it there. I will not be working on it anymore. Reasoning is below: For the record, I am still unhappy with the quality of this mod, but most further improvments are beyond my abilities. What would be an improvment is someone adding openables, and fixing the collision model because those are beyond my skill set. I am getting to the end of my interest in this project, and folks are leaking the mod again on sites that are not even providing me in the credits; they are crediting ANS4000 who didn't even do the major overhaul...I did. He came up with "Civetta J58", made the "J58" badge texture that is on the side which I then implemented into a working material, and he made a couple of janky configs that are not in the mod anymore. This community expects the world, but doesn't wanna help and then just pushes modders into the dirt by providing no or incorrect credits on leak sites. Makes me REALLY want to quit this community. I am involved with another mod (Chevy S10 and Ford Ranger) that I don't think has been released yet. People complain about paid mods (granted 99% of them are trash not worth really any money due to stolen assets or trash quality) but when the mods are worth their price, people just leak and complain. It is a toxic community to mod for. As I stated before, I need someone to fix the collision model, update the materials so they are configurable in-game and so you can make skins in game with the new garage feature. At some point I AM going to attempt at getting the turbo, gas, and oil temp gauges to work. But after that, I am done. I am tired.....just tired.
I just want to add that I am thankful for you folks that appreciate and are thankful for the amount of work I have poured into this mod. I am just tired and really frustrated at the outliers; they really make an impact and ruin all the motivation I have. As with a lot of communities, the minority ruins it for the majority, I am trying to not let that happen - hence why I am going to release one last update and then I am dipping. Between the legal liabilites and the community mis-crediting the mod maker (me), I am going to turn it away from my attention because it just frustrates me. This mod will probably fall into obscurity after the next release before long. I wish you all the best. Thank you, Speed_Freak13
Thank you. I don't know how the mod will hold up with upcoming updates. There are a few stuff that has broke I've fixed in the past. It makes me sad I cannot get the Base chassis to work in career mode. If it worked, you could just buy the chassis, then buy which ever engine/body/bodyparts you wanted for the variant and use it as a project car, but it crashes currently. The devs making modders figure everything out that is more complicated is VERY annoying. I understand it is time consuming, but it is very frustrating for us modders.
i wish you luck in life, and hopefully this mod can be like remastered or something if you don't work on it
i could do the gauges for you, if that's an option. haven't touched jbeam in months due to my motivation for this game going down, hope i still know enough to even do it
hey speedfreak, its been a while. just asking but can you make some unique/weird wacky configurations like the old poliza and rally configs? also could you model some newer parts since its honestly getting kinda boring driving a stock J58 (totally not F40) around belasco
There IS an LM, but the "J58" doesn't really get any more custom than the LM. The only custom "J58" was that super crazy one off yellow roaster version (that would require a real modeller and $$$).It was so over the top and out of the mold, "BeRRaRi" told them to remove ALL "BeRRaRi" and "J58" badges from it. I was in talks with a fellow that was going to make these: But I have not talked to him in awhile and he quite frankly seemed to not really care. He might do the rims, but I am not going to count on it. I am glad you like it so much that the only complaint is it is getting boring. I am not a modeller nor a scratch Jbeam'r/HTML'r (otherwise the J58 would already have the "J58 LM" custom digital screen they had when they raced at Circuit De La Sarthe in the early 90's and would feature a custom scratch made Jbeam that actually crashed realistically instead of becoming a spiky mess at speeds over 150 MPH). I am going to try to mod in the vanilla racing digital gauges, and work the analog turbo, fuel props. Those are hopeful features that will be added next update. Edit: There was a Rally config, but I couldn't get it to work quite right with the suspension, so I just gave up on it. It does have a Policia color, I have already released the skin UV's for the final UV on the model, so have fun!
All I can say is you folks BETTER be grateful.....What a pain in the ass..... This was hacked together by me. I scaled the radiator and duplicated/scaled the radiator fans to look like they belong there. --- Post updated --- Special thanks to this dude. He either ported it from a game or modelled the LM hood and one of the rims 1989 Ferrari F40 LM - Download Free 3D model by OUTPISTON (@outpiston) [232dea7] Special thanks to BrokenBrainCells for modelling the OZ Racing Magnesio's shown here.
good for you! also looks nice! the frunk situation still needs to be solved as well, it doesnt quite exist
