Yes, mods from modland are usually bad indeed. I dont want to say that every mod from there is an absolute meshslapped garbage, as there are indeed some average quality mods, but it is very hard to find them. But there are still too much bad quality mods there (with some of them being paid...) Also people tend to say that you are 100% getting 100 trojans from downloading mods from modland, but the issue with viruses there is not actually THAT big, although as a person who actively downloaded mods from that site in the past, I can guarantee that you will find a mod with some miner inside one day. So, if you want to get mods from there, nobody stops you from doing that, just keep in mind all the stuff I told in this message.
I downloaded one mod, a mclaren 720s, from modland and immediately got fake chrome popups about my computer having a virus. It wasn't dangerous, it was just annoying. Thats why i dont like modland. The ten thousands of fake dowload buttons are horrid as well If i would download a mod from modland, i would use virustotal or other programs to scan it first
Aside from viruses and malware, most ModLand mods I've downloaded were of bad quality and had minor issues, such as not being able to change the colour of the car. The only good quality mods I download are those from the repo and the forums, as well as from FastLane.
They allow mod piracy and leaking betas, nothing on there is good quality and if it seems like it is its stolen, and they ruin the games image imo. Almost every million view yt short or compilation is full of shitty modland mods so thats all people see, plus they come up before the official site when searching sometimes. Just a pest
modland is not THAT bad because some mods are really safe to download some mods are get scanned for virus .ONLY SOME
Yeah. It is the most detailed truck mod, in my opinion. I liked it very much, although I am not a fan of trucks.

That was probably because you clicked "Allow" when some ad on modsfire or wherever you downloaded it from asked for permission to send notifications. Just use an adblocker, simple. Or don't use ModLand, easy! In my experience, i've never gotten a virus, however the quality was pretty bad and it was pretty difficult to find the original uploader so I could get the latest update. Only good thing I can say is that they're good for looks (like screenshots or edits)
