Hello everyone, I am conducting a survey to better understand who uses the World Editor. For that I am trying to reach people who have already used the World Editor. This survey is conducted as part of my bachelor thesis to better understand how the people using the World Editor tools learn to use the software. No matter how brief your contact with the World Editor has been, your experience matters to building a better understanding of the user group. Not every question will fit perfectly to hobby users, but I am still very interested in your point of view. The survey should take about 10–15 minutes to complete. Most questions are multiple choice, with a few optional open-text questions if you’d like to share more. All responses will be kept confidential and used only for academic purposes in the context of my bachelor’s thesis. It is an online survey, you can access it by clicking the link below: https://limesurvey.imis.uni-luebeck.de/index.php/424296?lang=en If you have any questions about the survey feel free to reply in this thread or contact me at lennart.homann@student.uni-luebeck.de.
Do.. do you think companies and universities are creating levels for BeamNG? Do you think they offer classes on how to use world editor? The premise of the study doesn’t make a ton of sense.
The World Editor isn't a tool. It's a testing ground. Using it means getting to know yourself. It's actually no more complicated than Microsoft Office, but it has small errors in crucial places that make everything seem completely illogical to the layman. The trick is to love the World Editor without trusting in it. You can't learn that. So if you want to do a bachelor's degree in human behavioral science, it's certainly a very interesting topic to see how people try to deal with the World Editor without getting crazy .
