Beam has the best driving physics hands down over any other car sim in most situations. Where beam fails compared to gt7 is high downforce high grip cars such as race cars, and crazy Super/hyper cars like the scintilla. Beams high downforce aero simulation sucks and its racing slicks and Super high grip street tire physics(scintilla) suck. The reason racing simulation youtubers struggle with beam is cause they always drive the race cars which beam doesn't simulate well and most times are tuned poorly. Beam simulates normal road going cars and sports cars the best. So if your into GT3 racing or race cars in general Gran turismo is better.
I mean theyre basically completely different games. gt7 looks better is probably more polished cause its triple a game(though thats not always the case now days) has real cars has a career has progression has races against a.i, online people, better sounds, ECT. Beams still mainly a physics sand box not much of a "racing" game really. Beamngs the type of game where you have to create your own fun. It really depends what you want in a game. Their both gonna drive great but beam can do things granturismo cant such as rock crawling drag racing desert racing, monster trucks, ect. Beamng is finicky it might be hard to get everything set up if you plan on using a wheel. Mods or updates can break mods that break your game and if your not very knowledgeable on computers it can be problematic or frustrating. gt7 im sure is pretty much just plug and play and will always just boot up and work. If your a hardcore sim racer type then youll want gt7 --- Post updated --- My adivce download beam steam has a 2 hour return policy mess around and see if you like it. If you dont you can just get your money back
I've already had beam for over 1 year now. I just run it on a horrible pc and never put graphics to more than low. I just asked because i've seen youtube videos that show beam as this game with graphics better than Forza... thanks for taking the time!
