what is happening now with the moderators with the users?

hi i was going to the website and i see that recently occured many bans and some of the user was Dannny the Snniper and CrashHavenBNG so someone know what is happening now

but extra do not say that i am the next to be banned no forgot it because an old user dont want to lose his account ok

 

Danny The Sniper got banned for being an asshole and starting drama. CrashHavenBNG wasn’t banned idk what you’re talking about?

Joining the Forums in the big 25 isn’t considered being an old Forum user dude.

To add to what Dave said above, information about bans is considered proprietary: the moderation team will never share the reason why they banned someone with other users. While I do believe Dave is correct in his interpretation, even if Danny was banned for some other reason, we won't be privy to that information.

And just to nip this in the bud, this is important to consider when evaluating information from users who have been run afoul of the moderators. Since the moderation team is trying to be professional, you're only ever going to hear one side of the story. And if the user in question has an incandescent personality and/or a willingness to lie (traits that tend to favor those who get banned), the version of the story you wind up with may paint a dishonest picture. None of this is to say that the moderation team is blameless now, or that they cannot be held at fault in the future, but it is important to weigh your criticisms against the possibility that you're being mislead.

Well good sir one shortcoming of this approach and lack of transparency from site staff is that the more borderline decisions spawn conspiracy and rumours within the informational vacuum. On some occasions banished troublemakers become deified by the community as was the case with a narwhal and other cults of personality in years gone past.

With no one present to challenge rumours spread, any proficient writer may spread a reality and events to fit a narrative of their choosing.

 

This is a problem, yes, and was pretty much the problem I was spotlighting above. I just can't picture any blanket way to solve it, and I'm not convinced transparency in this department would make things better. Sure, it would probably fix this problem, but it seems like the kind of decision that might create other, potentially bigger ones.

This is sadly not unique to this site or situation. And especially these days, when anyone proficient in writing a <20-word AI prompt could generate whole political movements on a whim.

Anyways... DtS' ban also stems from hamster081's thread, where he asked why reuploading mods was wrong (not everyone understands that 1+1=2 and that's ok), somehow that thread devolved into an absolute dumpster fire and it had to be deleted.
Also, I wish the moderators sent us a notification when one of our posts/threads are deleted because it's kind of annoying having to look for your post just to realize that it disappeared without notice.

 

Since when was I banned? Someone should warn me next time. /s

because i see that the last time of your old account is the 1st of august of 2025 and your account that you are using is the same day of creation

 

Oh I got locked out of that other account, and since alt accounts are not allowed I asked the mods to delete it, hence why it is banned.

 

ah ok so i said really ChrashHavenBNG got banned because i was scared

 

He had a massive crashout in a thread about the opinions on paid mods, short version, he said his opinion on paid mods, he called lucasbe a scammer, called zeit something (he was angry with zeit because zeit blocked him in discord over dts having a nsfw pfp a while ago) then everyone told him he was an asshole, he got even madder and told everyone to fuck off (and so on for like the entire weekend), he wasnt banned but i pressume a warning was given.

Then someone posted in the ETK pack mod to ask permission to add compatibility to the 1300 and S series for paid steering wheel mod they were making for, danny saw that, left a bad review on his demo repo mod, and also left a comment in the thread which became more drama even (where he called me an obese neckbeard :lmao and i think he got banned

i wasnt aware of the Hamster081 thread thing, but i think he just had an insane crashout in the paid mod thread and he kept that up in other threads until he got banned

 

I hope danny gets himself together irl, he was very rude and toxic outside of the crashout.

 

Insane! That shows me how important it is to have a life besides all the computer, gaming and internet stuff. People sometimes get mad.

 

Not to mention, he insulted me several times (granted, I insulted him back), but then I received a warning point because of that. Anyways, I won't elaborate on this further, as I don't want to get banned.

In the ETK pack thread, he also tried playing victim when I was arguing with him with Danny claiming that him calling LegThePeg an “obese neckbeard” was him “calling out” his actions. What made things worse was that he tried claiming that the people who argued with him should be banned and tried using Forum rules as proof (he btw claimed we were abusing the Forums like/agree system and claimed there was false information yet it clearly wasn’t). I debunked most of them and shortly after that, the argument messages got deleted, Danny got banned, and then I posted a video about the situation. I seriously hope Danny doesn’t return to the Forums because if that ever happens, I have a feeling that he’s gonna continue his behavior once again. Anyways that’s all I gotta say here
