In one of my maps there is a "curb" between the ground and when i go over it my tires pop is there any way to shave smooth the terrain or fix it? (its an imported map .dae)
Hi, there! Just a heads-up that this isn't quite the section you'll want to have posted this in. This subforum is dedicated to showcasing existing or work-in-progress maps, where you're probably more looking for Content Creation, which is dedicated to supporting up-and-coming mods. I'd recommend PMing a moderator and ask them to move the thread for you. But, on topic: do the tires always pop, regardless of your speed, throttle/brake inputs, angle of approach, vehicle choice, etc.?
Is it a self made curb or downloaded from sketchfab? If yes, check the face orientation of the normals. Google how to do it. If they are red in the normal check view in blender then they have the wrong orientation. Then your tire pops.
hi thanks for the heads up! the tires pop when i go faster and with a lower suspension like with a sports car even like bmw or even civettas
its from a map made by someone else imported from another game im going to search what you told me up thanks!
I do recommend you try Alex's suggestion first, as inverted normals are a pretty big deal, and are one of the first things you'll want to tend to when adapting a mesh. ...failing that, I might also look into the way the curb is made. The 'vertical' surface of the curb shouldn't actually be completely vertical, it should lean slightly more inward, toward the sidewalk. There's no automatic fix for that, but it can make a big difference.
