WIP 1975-1988 Opel Manta (Roth Marder) [Free time project]

I dont wanna clutter Development screens even more so here it is:


This is the Roth Marder, supposed to be an Opel Manta, but with a few tweaks like Monza style tail lights and more. if it ever gets to be in game its gonna be heavily modified miramar at least suspension wise. i wont promise anything, i dont even know if i will ever finish it but i would love to have at least a semi complete model. This is gonna be more of a rope of sand than a nice thread but if you like these kinds of cars feel free to chat here about old opels of all kinds! id love to hear what you have to say about the project

I apologise for suggesting a rotary, my dumbass thought it was something Japanese for whatever reason. This is cool though, I love it already.

Habe ich nicht vor, auch der 3-achser wird wahrscheinlich eher nicht kommen, das ist dann wieder zu nische...
Der Mattig breit bau aus Manta Manta wird aber bestimmt noch kommen, den film fand ich persönlich einfach interessanter

Hallo zusammen!
Ich muss einfach ehrlich sein der Mod hat riesiges Potential und ich hoffe sehr das daraus etwas wird. Doch wenn ich erhlich sein soll würde ich die rückleuchten noch ändern damit der Wagen einfach perfekt wäre
und dann vllt wenn der mod so erstmal spielbar sein wird dann vllt als späteres update trotzdem die Wagen aus MANTA - Der Film da es ein genauso kultiger Film ist wie MANTA MANTA oder eine New Kids version ??!.

PS: Wenn du bei etwas vllt etwas hilfe bräuchtest könnte ich auch vllt einbisschen helfen da ich mich auch schon paar mal an fahrzeuge drangesetzhabe ✌

 

What engines will this have?

 

good question!

 

i want to recreate a fair chunk of the real engines that are either factory or commonly swapped wich are:
1.2 ohv
1.3 ohc
1.8 ohc
1.6, 1.8, 1.9, 2.0, 2.2, 2.4 cih
2.4 16v 400 cosworth dohc
2.4. 16v with a shortened 24v head
3.0 12v cih
3.0 24v cih
(rarely chevy smallblock)

the cih 8v and 12v are all the same engine more or less so those would be easy to make
the ohc and ohv are completely different engines though so i dont know if i will add any ohc variants or just keep it at cih and ohv
the 400 engine is almost a must have, but im not sure if the 24v and shortened 16v are viable, i probably wont make those

I already said ill add the manta manta car but just arent interested in the other manta parody movies so i will not make them.

The tail lights are conscious design choice as i find copying a car 1:1 to be boring and unimaginative.

Hope this gets finished in Febuary or March 2026 Because all roth or opel mods i found are bad or unfinished
