I assume it means "way to fucking go!" Anyways, beautiful work on the car. The frame is so nicely detailed. It'll be great to see how this lightweight FWD coupe competes with the Covet.
Started working on the rear, getting close. I've just noticed that the parts menu is broken. Yey! now I'll have to use an older version, great.
Thanks, there would be more finished projects on this forum if it wasn't because we don't have proper tools yet to get the job done. Takes a lot of patience and effort to get a car working properly in this game. For example, now I have to switch to an older version (I have 3.7.3 installed too), otherwise I wouldn't be able to finish it, since the parts selector simply doesn't work on the latest release.
If you'r ehaving troubles with the selector in 3.7.6, I believe the problem is caused by using the menu to open the parts selector. It seems to work fine for me by using ctrl+w Jbeam is looking good as well, I guess seeing as you're using the Covet as a base tuning the strengths will be a bit easier (it should help a lot when you do the suspension, as the sorted chassis will make it easier to get it wiggle free)
Thanks, I'll give that a try before switching to the previous version. The covet setup fits this car very good, I've had to add new nodes to the rear to make the trunk, but the front is a lot easier as it's almost the same. Trying to keep the jbeam simple. One thing I've noticed is that my car looks a bit smaller compared to the Covet. I've used the real measurements to scale the car right, so maybe the Covet is a bit larger than it should be for it's size? I'll get a better idea once I put the wheels in it and compare side by side.
Well, both cars are about the same size (the Prelude should be shorter). keep in mind that because your mesh is lacking bumpers and front panels, it appears, and is, sorter than the complete car. Once these parts are added (assuming the scaling is correct), it should look about the same size, if not smaller than a Covet.
Covet's built to the same size specs as an 88-91 Civic. A 1st gen Prelude is gonna definitely be smaller. My 3rd gen Prelude actually has smaller diameter tires than a same year Civic (23.2 inches vs 23.65 inches) and it's much smaller in height. Your 1st gen Prelude has a 91.3 inch wheelbase, while a 4th gen Civic has a 98.4 inch wheelbase (exactly the same as the Covet).
Thanks, indeed it is, it looks about right now that it has wheels and most parts on. Slowly getting there, suspension needs a LOT of work, and that's the most complicated part. Love the new pressureWheels, the car handles real nice.
I can say that, this will be one of my favorite mods! The speed and skill you've showed us by how you've assembled and already got it in game is just astonishing! We've got another legend in the midst of us.
