Logging in cuz these GTA 6 statements are extremely ridiculous. They're completely different games that bring different satisfactions, appeal to completely different demographics, have wholly different visions and are even on two different platforms. No one who plays BeamNG is going to migrate to GTA 6 looking for that same unique satisfaction that BeamNG offers

I’m not saying GTA 6 will steal sales directly because they appeal to different audiences. Basically, one is arcade, the other is simulation. But if it has fun mechanics (which it will), I could end up playing GTA more than BeamNG. There will be more variety in beating up cars: RPG, bomb, melee weapons... People are still sharing cliff crash tests they did in GTA 5 on YouTube.

Also, BeamNG could still look dull next to GTA if GTA’s visual effects are better. That’s my point. BeamNG still needs to improve its visual effects anyway.

GTA 6 will affect the sales of almost every game btw. It’s not specific to BeamNG.

BeamNG is as funny game. It's easy to say Beam doesn't have the licensed tracks, cars, and racing dynamics of Assetto or iRacing. It has trucks but doesn't have the big open roads of the truck simulators. It has open world driving, but it's not as expansive and doesn't have the visual fidelity of Forza. It has crashing, but doesn't have particle effects and chaos of GTA. It has rallying, but without the detail or cohesion of RBR. I'm still gonna play the game. And I'm along for the ride to see what this game becomes. I know the devs have a thousand ideas, from their own minds and from us. And they only have 24hrs in a day. In a perfect world, they use the increased sales to increase man power and then turn out more content with each update. But we can't speak to the internal structure of their company. TLDR: GTA 6 has got nothing to do with this....

I have heavy doubts that GTA 6 will have things like a racetrack for example, they aren't really comparable. They are so bloody different from one another
it's a real jack of all trades, master of none. but i love it.

Chat has gone so long without a teaser that it's delved completely into off-topic.

Well, the twilight zone theme isn't playing yet so we can't be that far out.

(In the 2022 leaks there is a tarmac race track based on Sebring visible in one clip & one of the "Ambrosia' screenshots shows a dirt oval track)

But yes, completely different markets. Apples & oranges.

That is a good point, it is the best so far when it comes to softbody physics. What I mean though is that the possibilities are endless but a lot of said possibilities are sort of rudimentary like AI and how it is quite janky at times.

So, it appears that there is a model for a seatbelt and a seatbelt cutter within the Gavril MD-Series School Bus model files.

(There is also an unused backup camera model in the Hirochi HT55 .dae files, and updated Gavril H-Series light/glass materials in its simplified traffic format.)

The modeler of the MD-Series School Bus had modeled the seatbelt cutter but it was never included in game.

    Too bad, but makes sense.

Hey notice on the original bus model, the yellow “rules of the bus” sign actually says normal stuff, but the BeamNG devs must have changed it to the easter egg one.

Something I'd love to see for the big tire model update (whenever that happens) would be a specialized motorsport car or two, like how we got a rock bouncer and trophy truck for the off-road update.. a LMH or Stockcar would be awesome to see

An open-wheeler (like F1) would be sick as well.

I’m at the point where I’m sure they WILL do a race car (preferably an open wheeler imo, but a stock car is just as likely). Only a matter of WHEN

Plus 1 for derby stuff, if we get a moonhawk remaster, A 4 door sedan derby build with fuel tank where the back seat was would be peak, that and the grand marshal,

As much as i want to save all the IRL 4 doors for road use, it would be fun to desotry a 4 door moonhawk :D
