Hi, I used to lurk on this thread 6+ years ago when I could only dream of having my own car. A little over half a year ago, I finally got one. 2014 Honda Accord Coupe V6, Automatic, 278 crank hp, about 230lbft torque. It roasts tires and sounds great doing it.
Oh thank God, it's such a cool ride. I do vaguely remember protesting when you were considering selling it for a C3(?)
Oh yeah I kind of remember that. The only cars I've seriously considered selling ithe Eagle to buy were a 76 New Yorker, 66 New Yorker and a 65 Imperial Lebaron
The Imperial guy stopped responding to me and the 66 New Yorker had someone else who could come get it before me. I couldn't find anyone I knew to drive with me to get the 76 in Wisconsin Found some photos of them Still kinda pisses me off a little but oh well. They were really good deals

almost pristine zero rust 89 riviera 60,000 miles i picked up for 1900 bucks. Vinyl roofs a little worn, steering wheel is a little worn, and driver visor is worn other than that its pristine and everything works even have the factory key fob that works. Everything ecept the crt though. The crt turns on but the touch screen part is botched. Have a new refurbished crt screen , power atenna, and lcd gauge cluster on order. gonna source some oem wire hubcaps too eventually. Love these cars their comfy they look handsome, dead reliable and they have a unique interior. So unique that when i went to drive it home i turned on the headlights and couldnt figure out how to turn em off i thought the buttons were broken and my headlights were stuck on lol but na i just didnt know how to operate it. I was about to disconnect the battery and my father who drove me there and followed me back hopped in and figured it out in 2 seconds. Gonna be a neat weekend car. Edit: after doing a closer inspection of the car it has a lot more blemishes than i noticed before. The front bumpers been in a minor collision at some point in the past thats bent it a lottle on the driver side and cracked the paint a little. You can see its all rusted where it cracked and the front drover trims mis aligned cause the bumpers dented. The bend made a little pocket where waters seeped into the bumper. I think ill use some clear caulking i have to seal that pocket and prevent more water from entering. Sourcing a front bumper or rectifying the bend is pretty much impossible. Obviously its a vynil top thats cracked which means roof rot. Lots of other little issues ive noticed that arent easy or worth the cash to fix. Which is fine Itll never be a show car its just gonna be a neat 80s weekend car. My co workers, my friends and other younger car people who were born after these cars and didnt know about these buicks find the car and the unique interior and the digital stuff to be neat. Which it is. These cars stand out and are unique now in the modern era. Just a cool car to cruise around in. Will post a video when i get all the cool refurbished crt screen guage cluster and power attenna installed.
I believe just like my 92 New Yorker, that vinyl top should be on a fiberglass cap that then goes onto the roof
Was at work today interesting ill be real i know next to nothing about vinyl top cars. Never thought id own one. Does that mean the roof might not be rotted underneath? lol --- Post updated --- Was at work today and a co worker filled up one of our oil containers with 6 quarts 5w-30 with lucas. Well turns out he did a stupid and the ford took 5w20. Because lucas was poured into the 5w30 our shop manager said to just dump it. I said heck na thats good oil i need to change oil on my mazda soon and it takes 5W-30 ill take it. Grabbed two old 5 quart bottles out of our trash can next to our oil disposal tank washed em out and got me 6 quarts of full synthetic mobile 1 5W-30 with lucas in it for free. Score!!
