i got a i3 laptop with 4gbs of ram and integrated graphics and it works no problem...

 

Others might have seen this but It seems to be broken by recent updates.

yea for some reason I get a gray screen when I pick the map on level selecter....update must have messed it up.

 

Yeah I got this too. Not sure why.

 

Grey screen bug is because the .mis file (basically the file that loads the level) doesn't have the same name as the folder it is in. This is a bug that has been added recently and will hopefully be fixed. To load the level, rename the .mis file you want to use to "Akron_Motorspeedway.mis".

When i try to load a map i see 2 broken map image icons for Akron Speedway.
does this still work? Can someone tell me exactly what files should be renamed?

The exact name of the file you are looking for is 'Akron.mis', just change it to 'Akron_Motorspeedway.mis' and you should be good to go.

 

I had to rename the folder, the preview file, and the .mis file to make this work. However, thanks for the work around! I've gotten a couple old maps working this way.

here are some instructions. This one has 2 versions (Day and Night) I don't know if you can get the night one to work from the was the game works now. (I haven't tried getting both of them to work yet.)

 

I actually did manage to get the night version to work. I just renamed the main folder 'Akron_Motorspeedway_night' and renamed the 'Akron_night.mis' file the same thing. It wasn't very nice though because all of the textures were missing.

 

The reason for that is everything goes through the "Akron_Motorspeedway." You might have not seen but I edited the first post of my thread to not change the level folder name.
