Update Speculation thread

Exactly, and Stenyak also mentioned somewhere that the update is delayed for a good reason we'll know when it releases. This means that something pretty revolutionary could possibly come.

 

I doubt it's tires, and headlights seem to be more minor, so it could maybe be something we haven't seen not related to the cherrier

 

Either weather or seasons maybe? those two things could be interconnected as well. I think weather would work well with the new skybox. Working wipers maybe as well.

 

I don't think it's gonna be a huge update just because it's delay. In my memory, the 0.33 was delayed and the update wasn't as big as we were speculating. All the modifiations were made within the engine game. And also, the MD-series was a mix of the D-series and T-series plus minors changes to not work to hard and be concentrate in the deep of the engine game.

 

That's a bit of an overstatement, even if the model is somewhat similar it is a separate vehicle

 

Though the Cherrier brand does not have a lot of vehicles in it's category so...

Yes, we need to be 100 percent patient. Devs are working hard and you’re saying we shouldn’t be 100% patient with 0.39 coming? It will come, and it’s not like 0.39 is cancelled. Like @LanciaDelta04 said, “let the devs cook”.

 

Taxis would be great for career mode as an alternative to having to repair your car. Maybe we could even get the player to drive the taxi back to the garage? maybe just teleport them there? Not sure but def will be cool.

 

SO sorry if this is the wrong place, BUT before i get to the main post, I wanted to say, I think update is due mid june till middle july, so teasers late may-early june

No mod has be posted this Friday and yesterday. Teaser Friday ? Or are they cooking something more important ?

 

Today is a Holiday in Germany so thats probably the reason for today.
But less Mod approvals could mean something.

I can’t lie, the sudden radio silence from the devs is a little frustrating. I don’t mind waiting longer for an update (every beam update is worth the wait), but I think a little communication in this case would help. Stenyak himself said that there’d be some sort of update from the devs on the nature of the delay, but he made that post over a month ago…

 

Here's what I think :

The devs said that the update was not delayed because of the new volumetric clouds. We also know for a fact that it's not delayed because of the new Cherrier car ( they already showed 2 teasers about the car meaning that it was almost ready ) so here's my guest :

The next update will be absolute massive and I'm pretty sure they will join the " most advanced" vehicle they promised like last year to this update , on top of the Cherrier cause if they don't they will have to push it even further and they promised it mid 2026 .

Pretty sure we will get the new lightning/ headlights system that was showcased too. Tire physics update won't be part of this one simply cause it's way too big and requires way too much work to be ready.
