HELP! color problem!

can i open a dds file in notepad ++? where it is readable like in the wiki page?

here is the problem im having, i changed the color of my custom truck a long time ago like about when this game came up on steam, and now, when ever i chose a color, it is always black because of this seemingly pre-set color that the other color just colors over.

Are you trying to change the default colour that spawns with the truck? Modifying the .dds files will do nothing as colour is handled by Torque3D and determined by the materials.cs as RGBA values.

.dds can be opened in GIMP or Photoshop plugin but is definitely not useful in Notepad++.

form my under standing, yes, when i choose a color in the vehicle selector, that's what happens, i know i changed the color in the world editor when i changed it to blue way back when. could it be the layer 0 i edited?

That's your problem . You should always edit layer 2 .

i dont know what i did! maybe i did that, how do i tell? can i get some replacement files?

Delete the pickup folder with and verify integrity of game cache through Steam.

 

nope, still does the same thing

where are the stock vehicle files?
