This was on my mind as well, as I can't think of any other device that supports D3D12 but not Vulkan.
There are also random compatibility issues on certain hardware configurations with vulkan on windows that are very hard to solve. That way you have a choice between the two, and you can use the one that works and performs better for you.
You're simply incredible! Thank you for your attention and active development of this wonderful game!!! I have two questions... 1) Will the announced tire physics overhaul (working with Calspan) be implemented in this update? Together with the advanced aerodynamics model, will the physics simulation in racing be on par with rFactor 2 or iRacing? 2) Will there be many improvements and changes in the career mode? I really like this mode and would like to see it actively developed. Currently, due to critical bugs, I can't continue playing the career mode. I'll have to start all over again. So I'm eagerly awaiting the new version of the game! Thank you so much!
This look fantastic wow, you all have been busy, Im blown away. Two questions: - Is the shadow bug gone, Where the shadow will disappear if the sun are behind the camera at some angles? - will we see volumetric dust and particles? (if you can answer this)
Best devs ever. New tonemapper looks good and upgrade to d3d12 is really cool and unexpected. This however brings up the question, will we get upscaling tech like DLSS/FSR now? And while on the topic of upscaling, can better antialiasing options (DLAA, FSRAA, or heck even TAA) also be expected when the update drops?
Genuinely the best dev team in the world. I thought I was dreaming reading this announcement. This is the most exciting thing I’ve woken up to. It’s actually so crazy that most of these things would have been considered impossible, not feasible or outlandish a few years back, and now we are actually going to see huge advancements in the game, everything from graphics, lighting, official multiplayer, to an official console port. You have no idea how happy and proud I am of this game and the developers!
A ton of issues with the shadows are fixed and the new screen-space shadows helps to fill the limitations of classic shadows techniques (shadows for small details, as well shadows for very distant objects)
I have few questions: when possibly 0.39 update will come out? how much perfomance (fps) will drop after this update? and last one, is new car will be fully electric or it will be hybrid? Thank you, best dev team ever.
Most likely yes, but on a later date. This is a growing requirement as many new devices, such as handhelds and laptops are shipped with crazy high resolution screens, but not up to the task GPUs
How does having, one... two... Three rendering pipelines, yea. Does having three of them affect development time at all? Do you guys look forward to a single one for simplicity and ease of development?
Does orange peel just refer to the bumpiness of the paint? If so, would it be part of the configurable options for paint, or would it be a bump map added to vanilla vehicles?
What is the impact on GPU performance? will my rtx 3070 go vroom, at the moment I'm playing on ultra in 1080p
That's really intriguing, but why is it taking you so long to develop the multiplayer mode when enthusiasts have managed to create it much faster than the development process itself? Why not borrow some ideas from others? Anyway, I'm really looking forward to the update, even though online play isn't a deal-breaker.
I’ve been playing this game for over 10 years now and have put thousands of hours into it so far. I’ve never commented on the forum before, but I had to this time. I’m really impressed with what the dev team has achieved; the game has changed so much over the years, and in all the right ways. I’m really excited for this update!
For now its just a normal map, but we plan on improving it. You still should be able to play on Ultra settings
