My first time doing anything map related, wanted to make my own updated version of East Coast
Lots of plans for this, I'll be creating a thread for it soon

Not a lot so far, but still wanted to show it off in early stages. These images are not final and more changes may be made (especially regarding the roundabout)

Oh the roundabout is staying, I just meant I'm probably going to rework the layout or curbs surrounding it

I love the roundabout, too, but I'm not keen on the T-intersection. Cash-strapped small town in the USA ain't gonna create curbs anywhere where they aren't needed, especially to make an intersection both (A. impossible to turn left at, in spite of the lack of reasonable alternate routes or good U-turn opportunities, and (B. more dangerous, as drivers merging onto the coast road now need to be wary of traffic approaching from their blind spot*. And while I'm sure cars can carry more speed while turning in this intersection, I can't imagine the speed limit through there would be all that high.

*unless you have a sufficient acceleration lane, in which case the danger would be dramatically reduced

 

I have plans to expand lanes on the highway, and add more proper U-Turn spots. I found the idea of traffic being able to turn left at this intersection a little unsafe, and prefered this route instead.
I do agree on the point of the curbs, but other than that, to each their own. This is just the way I wanted to design it. Not going to please everyone
