I'm a big fan of the design of this car, but it must take a considerable amount of time to create this type of car and make it look good as well.
Time is the enemy in most of these projects as life has a habit of changing your outlook and setting priorities.

I think the name needs to be changed, something other than "moonhawk"

 

the VW Golf, Porsche 911, the Corolla and the Mustang most importantly wouldn't all be iconic if they would change their name every 10 years

You know the Barstow is a Mustang, and the Moonhawk is both a Chevelle and Monaco

Well, I can see the influence in the grille, especially with those hidden headlights, but the shape of the body and roofline is much closer to that of the 69-70 Mustang SportsRoof. You can also see the Mustang influence in the Barstow's spoiler. The taillights seem to be completely unique.

 

The Barstow is actually a Ford Torino, just shrunk down to Mustang size.

I think that would have to be decided by the original creator of the mod, and I kind of doubt it would even happen. But I also don't really see why it should be changed in the first place. This car has been a Moonhawk for years, so that also adds to my belief that it wouldn't be changed.
