Does anyone want to make a suggestion? I know that those signal arms need counter weights. Woo! This is fun! I know that those signal arms need counter weights. Woo! This is fun! --- Post updated --- Just a status update: I am currently working/stuck on the process of finding out how to model the clamp the holds the power box to the pole. I do not know what it looks like. I am trying to find pictures of it from many angles. And yes, I want to image something like this very soon. And by the way: Just a status update: I am currently working/stuck on the process of finding out how to model the clamp the holds the power box to the pole. I do not know what it looks like. I am trying to find pictures of it from many angles. --- Post updated --- Should I post this mod for free or should I make it paid? I need motivation to complete the mod. Is there any person who is able to model the mounting bracket? Because I am currently using a temporary one, but it is not realistic. Ask questions, as I am here to answer them, if I can.
keep it free since it’s your first mod, a lot of people will be more hesitant to purchase a mod from someone with little to no free mods that would show the quality of said mod. So many paid mods nowadays have burnt people’s trust out and only purchase from well known mod makers that have released high quality mods before.
I work for a railroad IRL and can get you up close photos of the gate mechanism and the lighting systems! I can also provide any spec info as well as photos for different crossing equipment manufacturers if you want! It's looking great so far and It would be nice to see up-to-date high detail crossing signals in Beam. Ya know, for those folks who like the more niche stuff in the game!
Thank you! Yes please! I have been awaiting support from someone for a long while as I toiled with low-quality or distant photos. Along with that come the good for nothing model references that are of no use at all. I also plan having this mod released on the repository as a lore friendly mod. What I currently need are sufficient pictures of different kinds of gate arm power box mounts shot from different angles. --- Post updated --- I am also not sure if I modeled the gate arm lights correctly, and I also could not find enough photos on that either. When this mod is done, you will indeed be credited as "One of the biggest helpers in the modding process" --- Post updated --- These are some of the things you are to look out for https://imgur.com/a/zOkrg3W
so uh sorry if this is a bump but, i have a question, are the crossing signals gonna feature sounds? and are you gonna be able to customize the crossing with stuff like cantilevers AKA overhead lights, bells and etc?
i dont know if this will be released because the lua logic was marked as cancelled, but i see that beamnut has been posting images on the signals.
Here are my railroad lights tell me if you need to see more images. Sorry if this is a bump/useless information --- Post updated --- Ask me for pictures of railroad bells if needed. I have a ton of those and I am willing to show. I am a "expert" at railroad crossing stuff specifically. --- Post updated ---
Thank you for theses photos! I will create a simple math expression that will demonstrate my expression towards it. let x = usefulness They are (x*♾️) times helpful than the strange and seemingly unauthored photos that I find on Google! Do you have any of those lights that are found on the gate arms? Those have been tricky for me to model due to the lack of photos and reference images of them.
Also, do you have of those clamps that hold signs up on the mast? Maybe even any of the gate arm mechanism box mount pictures? --- Post updated --- Thanks!
Ask me for pictures of railroad bells if needed. I have a ton of those Okay, all clamps are the exact same shown in the image of the lights. Here are some extra images for references. Tell me specific details for help. Ex: "Please show me an image of the arm brackets that holds the lights up." I will know what to show. Extra: the Safetran systems Corp bell has a RACO base which is extremely rare. Only about 300-1000 were made id say and I have only seen 4 people with that type of bell.
I have modeled this: My version: Here's my additional one: I am yet to model this bell: I need more detailed and close up photos of it. I need specifically the photos of the base.
Looks very cool! The first bell (General Signals Type 3) has no bolts originally but it is pretty accurate. If you need the audio, please add me on discord. My username is brick300k.
I think I forgot to mention this, for some reason I have been falsely banned from entering my account there. As of right now, I don't feel like appealing in any way to get my account back. For the audios, I think I will go to Youtube and find some. If I can't find any, I'll ask you for them. By the way, do also you have any train horns? --- Post updated --- Oh, and the reason why I added bolts on my General Signals Type 3 model is because I saw a photo that had them and I was using it as a reference image.
Okay, one thing to know is that only type 1s have 7 bolts on the top. The rest do not have any bolts because it was a design flaw. Models do not have to be 100% accurate so it is your call. They look very good so far. Unfortunately I do not have any train horns.
Oh, and the reason why I added bolts on my General Signals Type 3 model is because I saw a photo that had them and I was using it as a reference image. Wow, that is amazing information that I never knew before. I don't think I will actually remodel it, because that bell belongs to a fictional company named SmartSignals.
