I've got the exact same issue, I launched the game in safe mode and it worked fine, deleted any mods pertaining to graphics, some others the game listed as potentially broken, and tried again, even base game cars and configs don't work. Opened the console to see if the log would help me out whatsoever and it really didn't. Disabling all mods and swapping to a different map helps but I'm still rather confused and don't know how to fix this.
Can we get a way to resize UI Apps smaller again?(There was a way where you can resize them way smaller than the game lets you; it does not work anymore) Personally the new UI is fine I've somewhat come to terms with its nonsense but I don't like how we're being forced to keep up with controllers I would prefer to navigate with a mouse. Now it takes way more unnecessary navigation just to get to an option compared to before. As far as the Eye Adaptation/Auto Exposure, it's a bit too extreme to the point where it is blindingly dark in some areas and incredibly dim in some bright areas.
I love it, But I wish we could control Bloom amount in the graphics. It's just way to much. Also the amount of depth of field.
So, here's what my game looks like after loading. the first one is a second after loading into a map, and the second one is it frozen, and I can't even close it.
Since getting a new PC a few months ago, I’ve been playing BeamNG.drive exclusively in VR with the resolution set to 100%; the game was very stable, and I encountered virtually no bugs. However, since version 0.39, VR performance has become very unstable and practically unplayable. I initially tweaked several settings with no effect, but then I disabled the clouds; since doing so, VR stability has returned. For reference, I play using a Quest 3, and my PC is equipped with an RTX 5090 and a Ryzen 7 9800X3D.
i ended up just disabling all my mods, clear cache, file integrity, anything to make sure i can even spawn a car, and it worked for me. now i know that i should probably enable only some of my mods, until the devs push out a patch for it, if needed
I would say game is unplayable . No mods reset cache verified game file integrity and none of the textures ever load. Hopefully hotfix comes soon!
-Shadows in your mirror's reflection can be a bit wonky. Depending on your distance from an object, say another car, that other car's shadow can disappear/reappear depending on distance or angle, or whatever. Usually can't see shadows unless that other car is right beside me. -You can either turn live updates all the way off or all the way. Before, you could leave live updates on, so swapping vehicle parts could be done instantly, but in the tuning menu, you could adjust sliders and values without the game automatically updating them. Now, you have to have the same for both. I think it was more intuitive to have parts swapping be instant (because they're visual changes), and tuning could be applied with the apply button.
I noticed that at 0.39, when switching the camera to the first person using dynamic mirrors, the fps became even lower than it was at 0.38. Perhaps this is due to the addition of shadows in the reflection of mirrors, but then can I add the option to disable them?
i have to admit, I'm not sure I'm a fan of the new Grass/GroundCover system, it looks way more sparse in my opinion, more ground texture visible than before, flat billboards from the side are also not a heiglight. It's a very minor thing, but I'm not sure if this is really better than the rotating billboards we had before. (All taken at 100% density)
It seriously affected my performance from the first person, but from the third, my fps didn't change much.
Anyone else here not liking the ui? No hate but can the devs add a revert to old ui like they did with the vehicle config menu? Thanks in advance
It won’t actually let me go back. I’m honestly angry now. I was excited to play the game when this update came out and now I feel like how Nintendo fans felt a few days after the Switch 2 released.
