literally the most relevant to the thread thing yet, because yes if it needs a backlight it should be said so the kind and sweet mod maker can be aware of this conundrum. Or is it because it's not the 12th post asking for a whole other plane. or that it isn't the 50th one harassing for a livery, that you consider it off topic? this thread just boils my brain from yalls entitlement. my apologies if I went off "too hard"
It prob has been answered already but I just want to ask. Why can't the plane go above a certain altitude before the engines stop producing thrust? Will this ever be fixed in a future update?
Technically, jet aircraft are supposed to perform better at altitude (hence why airliners fly at ~30,000 feet), but I guess that’d require a custom lua.
Technically both of you are right. Beamng drive takes atmospheric pressure into account for engine simulation, and since technically the engines in the 737 are the same with some lua for the "thrust" that is tied to rpm, the engine performs worse at significant altitude, while realistically the thrust is still acurate for the current rpm. I did look for a way around but have yet to find an easy one
For my caravelle i just used sbeam files, lua for electircs and thrusters that pull from a "governed" throttle so the engines dont thrust past a certain speed to solve my issue of infinite acceleration.
sbeam is for sound, and the lua is essentially a custom thruster that doesnt have infinite acceleration. the caravelle still has infinite acceleration because base thrusters dont account for increased drag at higher speed.
i know sbeam is for sound, but the caravelle's thrust stops because the thrusters electric amount is a lua controlled electric that calculates airspeed and once the airspeed reaches past a certain point, it stops the thrusters until it goes below that point
